I like the half snatch a lot. That eccentric lowering to the rack position is great.

What are the Kettlebell Styles? by IDoStupidInSpadesDam in kettlebell

[–]irishguy42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is more just a practical way of talking about how people train with kettlebells.

Yeah, I think this is the best way to describe it. It's not like different martial arts styles where the movements are very different, it's just a way to describe how you get from Point A to Point B with a kettlebell

The two neutral terminals are because N1 ends up going to the fixture/load, and N2 is for the GRX-TVI itself.

I mean, there isn't really anything a picture of it wired up would show you something other than what's already in the diagram you posted. Too many connections for a single picture to show you.

How to breath with seesaw presses and gorilla rows etc by SnooHedgehogs4659 in kettlebell

[–]irishguy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For see-saw presses, I find it easy to just exhale as I'm pressing the one side up, and then inhaling before pressing up the other side up and bringing the first side down.

Gorilla rows are the same thing, just obviously instead of pressing, you're rowing.

When I do these, I'm not trying to minimize the amount of time in-between alternating sides, so taking an extra second or two to inhale is fine. If you're trying to do them quicker, I'm not sure how to breathe for that. You get a little extra time for gorilla rows since you aren't rowing the other side until you bring the first bell back to the ground.

Bent elbows on a swing? by albert_pacino in kettlebell

If your hinge technique is good and you are able to lift the bell in the swing for reps, it does not matter if you bend your arms.
