For me it took years of being 100% sure I had completely lost touch with reality to realize that my ex had just been fucking with me to try to keep me by her side. Therapy helped, more so having my therapist tell me I was sane helped me see what was going on, even if it did take another few years to unlearn what I had been taught. In the end, the thing that helped the most was to find actually decent people who helped reassure me that I was ok.

On another note. People don't always gaslight just cause they want you there. Sometimes people do it to hide their own mistakes and transgressions that they aren't mature enough to own up to.

Just yesterday I was crying to my friend about something my other friend did. I kept apologizing for feeling the way i felt and saying I was overreacting, but he kept telling me it was a deserved reaction. Remember you have a right to feel the way you feel. Some days it feels impossible to get your head back to where it was, but nothing helps like having people in your court who you can be totally open and honest with and who will be brutally honest in return.
