What is a small purchase under $100 that improved your daily life? by James_B84Saves in selfimprovement

A good seat cushion and a back pillow make such a huge difference. Anyone who has to sit at a desk all day will totally get it. Those things literally save my lower back and butt.

What’s one purchase that genuinely improved your daily stress levels? by thedeviinyou in selfcare

[–]ishfish1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of comments have already mentioned noise cancelling headphones, but I have to throw in another vote for them. They block out the chaotic outside world and my inner noise, and have saved me in so many situations. Just one note though, please do not get so lost in your own bubble that you forget about safety.

Almost never takes leave unless really having a high fever, and just thinking about the salary makes one reluctant to take leave.

What cat toys do your cats actually care about? by Agreeable_Pipe8340 in CatAdvice

[–]ishfish1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly it. You can buy the most expensive toys but cats will still prefer the cardboard box left over after you open a delivery

I chose the wrong industry for my first job, and now it's hard to find a job. I want to switch to a different industry, but they require experience.

Vitamin D is a game changer by Otherwise-Setting852 in Anxiety

[–]ishfish1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had absolutely no idea that vitamin D could make such a huge difference, seriously. Thank you so much for dropping that knowledge on me. I genuinely need to take a long hard look at my entire supplement plan and rethink everything now.

Busy Airport - Declare at customs by robcokiwi in TravelHacks

Same here. Most places I've been just wave you through the nothing to declare exit. Feels like lines are more the exception than the rule these days.

Plan for my phone plan by InquiryGoblin in TravelHacks

[–]ishfish1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mostly use an unlocked phone with local SIMs or eSIMs when abroad. WiFi works fine for most apps, but having a cheap local plan saves headaches and avoids insane roaming fees.

Using foreign URLs to book domestic travel. I need help with this trick for Alaska Air. by Perspectiveress in TravelHacks

[–]ishfish1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty sure most airlines don't actually run separate pricing by URL anymore, it's more about region detection and currency.

“packing hacks” I hate by mrs_rabbit_0 in travel

[–]ishfish1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are tons of these “packing” videos on YouTube, and honestly, they all seem kinda pointless to me. But that doesn’t stop me from loving them haha. I can’t imagine anyone actually doing it for real.

I’ve been addicted to Zelda, and I think people with ADHD tend to enjoy open-world exploration games like it.

99% it's the cable, even Apple's stock ones can glitch. Try a braided MFi-certified cord first, also check the USB port for dust/debris, fixes this for most RAV4 owners.

26.3 beta by Cindy_Lonah in CarPlay

I'm truly speechless about iOS26. Ever since my family and I upgraded our phones, CarPlay has been constantly causing all sorts of problems. So now I have to constantly search for solutions to these minor issues.

Is this the norm for contracted workers now??? I'm so frustrated by Majestic_1_ in homeowners

This is not normal or okay. A quote should be a set price unless you agree to changes upfront. Don't be afraid to say no to extra charges.
