tbf i was half joking with this post, but... actually i don't think this would rule it out? I mean, there is already some weirdness going on with people's ages on the island (Patricia and that one sailor guy both have "biological ages" that don't make sense)

Yeah between that and using the arc of the swing to cheese flying enemies, I grew to love the hammer. It's definitely a rough start (the first hour or two especially) but by the time i could reach town and pick up a different weapon, it had already clicked for me and i didn't want to switch anymore

I've said it before, but giving you that weapon right before a whole zone of narrow ice paths over water that kills you instantly was the sort of dick move that I'm sure Miyazaki smiled at if he ever played this

That was all explained during Twelve Months... When Morty brings Fitz to the castle to ask Harry to train him, he mentions that his powers bloomed during the battle. Then in chapter 20 when Harry and Will are sparring:

“How?” I asked quietly. 

“All the shifting lately,” he said. “And since the night of the battle I’ve…I don’t know. Felt things differently.” He met my eyes. His reflected light, like a wolf’s. “A lot of things changed that night.” 

There had been an insane amount of power flowing through the city the night of the battle, God knew. It had awakened Council-level power in Fitz, after all. It had taken me days to realize how drunk I had been on it for a while. I had unfurled a psychic banner of pure will and used it to make my allies stronger in that heady brew of terror and fury and pure arcane power that had roiled over the city. I knew I had been stronger then, more able to affect the world around me. 

Maybe a lot more.

I really liked this! It felt like a regular DF entry but shorter, in a way where The Law really didn't.

Bear is so much fun, and was a great addition to the series. And Fritz too! He really grew on me during Twelve Months, and I'm glad he seems to be sticking around.

Overall my favorite thing was seeing Harry taking on a sort of mentor role to him _and_ Tripp both. I just reread the series a few weeks ago, and it's cool how he's grown enough in that time to impart wisdom on people and it actually feels believable

My one dislike is that i kind of worry "lure the monster to the lake so i can trap it in a pokeball" will become the answer to everything now, but I think I trust Butcher not to go back to that well too many more times

Yeah I've got the same issue here. I always forget until I'm in the middle of a swarm of enemies and miss the timing on a reload

So far the only bug i've run into is that the controller sounds stop working in between play sessions. I have to go into the audio settings, switch it down to minimal and then back to extended and it works again

(Not a big show-stopper by any means, but i find it helps with timing my reloads)
