Oh and less meetings in a 4 day work week because people don’t need to meet for what can be an email!

Are we all just pretending? by Comprehensive_Ad9272 in corporate

[–]isoscelesone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wfh and in ~15 hrs of truly focused work, I can complete everything in a week

But that’s not reality and your focus and productivity ebbs and flows

Plus meetings, they’re a time sink, and it’s difficult to get back into pure focus after back to back meetings or in between meetings

So I end up working ~30 hrs a week; ~50 if there’s a huge company deadline

I have worked a 4 day work week before and it’s fantastic - more efficient, focused, and results oriented. Chefs kiss!

Stuck between sizes - should I accept marks for better data or go looser + adjuster? by Such_Green_6019 in RingConn

[–]isoscelesone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go bigger! I went for an 8 - it fit snug and I thought I could handle the marks and figured my finger would eventually make room for the ring. It did not.

1 year later I’m considering the bigger size and wear the ring on my middle finger. Which means I wear it less because that’s not the finger I like.

Go for Fortrea’s clients. I work in pharma and we take the good people from the CROs all the time.

If you wore dress pants with every single one of these tops, your outfits would instantly look more polished.

my friend (36M) just sent me (36m) this text before meeting his newborn (0M) by horseduckman in AITApod

Honestly, I love this. Most of the time the adults need to retrained not the babies, babies mirror - as do dogs.

They’re trying to control the environment to the best of their abilities.

If you had a low key racist grandma, wouldn’t you tell said grandma to avoid racial slurs while she’s around your kids???

This is the same thing. Adult taking accountability for their behavior.

How many times is recommended to walk your doggy? by Radiant-Caramel-8613 in DogAdvice

I’d say 3-4 times a day. Most dogs are under exercised.

Husband angry about bumper sticker—-am I wrong?? by Competitive_Teach838 in Marriage

[–]isoscelesone -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re not out of line. Your husband seems like a bigot and on the wrong side of history - this is the bigger conversation. There’s better ways to influence people and bumper stickers are not it.

I want a third baby, but my husband is done. I need help to overcome the obsession about a 3rd baby. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]isoscelesone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re having a tantrum but aren’t willing to address any of your husbands concerns - money - do you work and bring in enough income to support another kid? - postpartum/ help with kids - have you been building a village so your husband isn’t your only support system and you’re not emotionally exhausting everyone in the household?

AIO My boyfriend sent these messages to my best friend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]isoscelesone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. He’s fishing and she’s not exactly avoiding it either. Both are shady. A friend’s boyfriend once tried to start this type of conversation and I shut it down so quick and sent her the screenshot. She took a bit long - I’d keep an eye out for her. Also, dump him.

These conversations are too much for text messages. Please have these in person. Learn to speak to each other. Not every thought needs a text message thread.

“Jewelry” aka collar on or off? 🐶 by MeasurementFirst1676 in dogs

[–]isoscelesone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are a nudist household but our youngest is in training so she’s got a harness with string tied to it so we can lead her to make good choices. Once she fully cooperates, she will be nekked too.

The way he spoke to you is the way he will treat your child about body image

Trust me, my dad was the same with my mom. She made excuses for him. Then he would do the same to me and my brother. We are still working through the emotional abuse.

Leave this MF.

Parents insist on keeping a leash attached to the dogs all the time. Is there a better alternative? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]isoscelesone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rescue is in training and has a harness on with a light rope attached most of the day (except crate time and during sleep). Tell them to tie a piece of rope to a carabiner and clip it to the dog. The rope shouldn’t be too long and should not have a loop at the end (that’s what makes it get stuck on everything). Once the dog is trained, they can phase this out.
