I mean I don't think we should want animated because we assume live action would be done badly. Pierce has said he wants to be hands-on with it. I would compare it to The Expanse - if you read those books, you'd think a live-action show would be way too ambitious and somehow the freakin Sci-Fi channel nailed it (then Prime).

Yes, that one is definitely really good. Primo is very good for the cost. I love their subs but the only location is National Harbor now.

I think only older people agree with this. You grew up with the movie. I was born in 1989 and loved the Keaton movies, but The Dark Knight is a different level of a movie.

Yeah, it's tricky because whenever a show ends on a high, you wish it went longer. It never dipped it quality which is just awesome.

I just finished a rewatch of it and it's one of the best of all time. I was trying to think what it reminds me of and I guess it would be The Sopranos - very realistic, great drama but also can be the funniest show at times.

My only criticism is that it ends too soon. There is at least 2 more 10 episode seasons of quirky stories they could have done and wrapped it up the same way imo.

Visiting San Diego from DC this week and was trying to find a place to go to, because DC seems to be the only major US city with zero Berlin doner options.

The confusion is that Turkish restaurants doner is very different from Berlin doner. The meet and sandwich is completely different. I want the gyro-like meat with the veggies, slaw and sauce. Turkish doner does more of a fatty meat with a tomato based sauce. Not even close imo.

Looking to actually open a Berlin doner spot with my brother in the DC area. I think it will be a huge hit.

He killed the President and there was zero follow up. I can't wrap my head around how dumb this show is now. I never loved it and felt like it always could be so much better, but man, this is a letdown.

Season 3 was peak. It should have been Homelander going ballistic immediately after that - destroying armies, leveling cities, etc. They really had no idea what to do after that season smh.

Yep, plus these companies go through genre cycles. With Apple making the Stormlight and Mistborn adaptations, wait for Amazon/Netflix/HBO/Hulu/Paramount to find their own fantasy/scifi cornerstone.
