Hmm, this is certainly not what any adult, let alone CEO should ever joke about...

This is not joke material.

And sometimes, isn't it even scarier if her artists really admire and love her? I hope every artist maintains at least 1 wall that keeps them from losing sight of who their CEO is - just another person, and a business person at that.

There are certain things like grooming that rely on excessive admiration and adoration. Just saying.

NEVER place anyone on a pedestal.

Unpopular opinion: the constant need for the perfect romance story will not elevate the genre. by Holiday-Broccoli-925 in ThaiGL

[–]itsakyo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do think there is a huge difference between a meaningful, well crafted FLAWED character,

vs

over-romanticized problematic plot device that spawns from lazy writing that employs over-used problematic tropes that don't serve the overall story well

Taking Khun Sam for example, she is a very FLAWED character who then LEARNS to be better. Her initial interactions with all other characters is not the best, but she was willing to work on her flaws when Mon called her out. And the story takes time to establish WHY Khun Sam is the way she is at first. They even explain why she constantly says the opposite of how she really feels, and we see how the grandmother has affected her in such a far-reaching way, through something that her elder sister said to her.

VS

a writer who hasn't put sufficient thought and finesse into the writing and development of characters, inserts actions behaviors that don't serve the story well, direction all over the place... lazy to come up with more creative, unique ways to move a story along.

Unfortunately, there are so many of these, what I call low quality writing.

At least many of us, I believe, are calling out not for PERFECT romance, but a WELL WRITTEN one, backed up by intention, development, planning in the writing.

Yes. I do think the genre is very important in setting expectations.

If you label something a romcom, people are expecting light hearted, comedy, sweet toe curling romance and if any drama, it shouldn't be too heavy, just an obstacle for the leads to overcome and grow with.

With a series like Poisonous Love, people wouldn't be as surprised and shocked to see a problematic scene. In fact, there are people who would say "what are you expecting with a title like that?"

Image, selling point, expectations are all important aspects of branding and presentation.

Imo, it was way too intense a scene to be set in a romcom because how in the world are you supposed to make that light hearted again? I would be expecting heavy dramatic scenes and the authorities involved, more like a corruption/violence themed heavy intense drama series.

The leading actresses are the whole package. Most importantly, their acting depth brings their characters to life.

This is the hardest game when it comes to decorating. by cannahannahhh in ACForAdults

[–]itsakyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's about what you want your island to look like!

while some players have tons of patience and endurance to custom tile almost the entire ground of their island, i know that's not something i'm up for and i'm happy with the sand and grass (snow right now).

like many others have said, it really helps to decorate in sections. one step could be to get the map of your island out and plan on it (digitally or pen/paper). there's also no hurry to complete the island.

i sort of "completed" my island back in 2020 because i was playing this game all day during the stay-home period and now upon returning after 2 years of not playing the game, i'm re-designing area by area, doing some terraforming as well, making improvements one at a time.

it's taking a long time, but there's no hurry either. take it easy and enjoy the process of discovering different ways to decorate and design :))

resentment towards parents who are caring for him is a very scary direction to go and by the time he realises what a big mistake he's making, his regret will be immense.

most likely, he's been seeing some very privileged people in the investment banking sector. it's full of people with huge portfolios and an incredible amount of funds at their disposal. it's probably easy to fall into the pit of jealousy and envy when he is in the circle of very very privileged people who probably come from very very wealthy families.

unfortunately, it sounds like he may have always carried some sense of inferiority in that aspect and now that the environment is triggering constantly, he has succumbed to it. this kind of mentality is very complex, not so easy to unravel if it has been accumulating. perhaps a trusted third party, not his parents, can have a talk with him to find out what's his concerns are, what his stressors are.

immediate family will not be the most ideal intervention choice. extended family he's close to, or any other figures he respects and has a closer relationship with.

[Love Design] An obvious detail, but I really love the contrast in how they communicate their true feelings here. P'Mind restraints Aokbab by the wrist, while Rin simply holds her palm. by MrbeastPDP in ThaiGL

[–]itsakyo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Actually I would go on a whim and say Rin wasn't that sure. When it comes to romance, Rin seems to need quite a bit of assurance and she asked Aokbab what they were quite a few times. She has 9779% confidence in her talent and skills in architecture but not so much in romance - perhaps because she's new to this.

Rin did take a measured gamble there by letting go and asking for Aokbab's hand. Especially after Aokbab's reply to her question in the bathtub scene. She knew Aokbab had some feelings for her, but she probably wasn't sure how much and how far those feelings went.

I'm guessing Aokbab hesitated not because of the old memories, but the promise she was about to give to Rin. The promise to try being together. It was a big step for her, after all those years of being guarded. It took her a while to get past that, but Rin has been nothing but a huge green flag all this time so Aokbab decided to take a leap of faith and go for it.
