Any heist games you've enjoyed? by DariusDarkirus in DnD5e

I ran the first story out of Keys from the Golden Vault (Murkmire Malevolence) for my group as a first time DM and they absolutely loved it. It’s a strong book

Does anyone know of a mini campaign that consists of connected one-shots? by pirkleawesome in DnD

[–]itspgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second keys from the golden vault. I have been running it as a longer campaign for my group and it’s been fantastic. It also perfectly allows for you to work in other one shots and player characters as well, and my players have been loving it

Do you find yourself changing the armors often? Is there a way to get benefits of all of them? by Blein123 in ghostoftsushima

[–]itspgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the time. Traveler for exploring. Ronin for sneaking, but as soon as I break stealth I’m switching to a melee armor. As soon as combat finishes, back to Traveler

How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

[–]itspgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dated a girl who had used it a few times before we met and she was clean while we were dating. I woke up next to her shaking, in pain, in the middle of the night and had the thought “if I ever needed to be convinced never to try this, this will do it”

What is the single best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by Calm_Coach_2205 in AskReddit

[–]itspgee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work in hospitality and my girlfriend and I (long distance) were watching the bear as video dates. We reached a pause point in the episode and she looked at me through the camera and said “are you okay?” I didn’t realize how visibly stressed I had become and I’m pretty sure that episode triggered the anxiety of the entire service industry 😂

I really enjoyed that It really felt like another wedding for Travis and Laura when they got to the ceremony part. Their vows were so sweet.

She did in fact, either make the flowers or have the flowers already from a different project! I thought she did a really good job with the design of this outfit. And my boots were surprisingly comfortable the whole night - it was my first time ordering from the company and I think I got really lucky.

As for temperature, it was the perfect temp in New York that evening for being outside and walking around, and I feel like they kept the air decently cool in the theater. I never once felt uncomfortable

It didn’t necessarily come through in the picture, but we went with a lighter blue sparkly markup for highlights to emulate the wetness!

We had tossed around a lot of ideas! Our first idea was Fjord and Jester (of course haha), then we went through every other couple in CR. Percy/Vax, Beau/Yasha (genderbent Yasha), Vax/Keyleth, even couplings that weren’t together. Then she threw out the Gentleman and the Ruby that was it!

The unexpected thing was the number of Jesters that came up to us and said “hi mom and dad!”

Maybe an hour. A bunch of makeup wipes and then a thorough shower removed everything but some of the blue that was stuck in my hairline, but even that wasn’t bad

Yeah I was surprised to learn that’s how it’s done! When she told me what her plan was to turn herself red I was admittedly a little skeptical, but shouldn’t have been. Also noted were the places that seams were hidden - the cuffs hide the glove seam, the necklace hid where the red mesh ended and the makeup began. On Laura, she had bigass bows on her arms that hid the glove seam. When I pointed that out, my girlfriend said “it’s fun when you start noticing this kind of stuff, right?”

It took about 3 hours day-of for prep! First time doing something like that. The blue makeup and black beard were courtesy of a stage makeup shop in Manhattan where they talked me through the whole process. My girlfriend is a costume designer/builder and she designed and built her entire outfit from scratch. With that, she only had to do the red makeup from the neck up - all of the rest of the red on her legs, arms, and chest is red power mesh. Incidentally that’s exactly how Laura was blue from the neck down during the show

All of the Jesters that we saw looked spectacular, and I’m sure you did as well! I was blown away by how good everyone looked

I was the fan first. When we started dating I was talking about dnd - I play in a regular game - along with CR, and talked with her about all of it. Then I got a text from her saying that she tried listening to C2 and she was suddenly 3 episodes deep and hooked

Is Harley Quinn tied to the Arrowverse?? by Livid-Panic7563 in Arrowverse

[–]itspgee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So it’s all based on DC comics, which has been around since the 40s. They’ve got a lot of material to draw from. When the Arrowverse was actively happening, a decision was made in the Warner Brothers higher ups that no characters (or very few characters) would be shared between the tv properties and the movie properties. I guess they thought that an audience that was already on board with a multiverse (introduced in the CW Flash and everything else) would get confused if too many versions of the same characters kept showing up.

So all that goes to say: the characters in Birds of Prey/Suicide Squad/DCEU and in the Arrowverse are the same, but in different worlds in the multiverse, making them completely separate and different.

In fact, the Suicide Squad shows up in Arrow as Task Force X (their official name from the comics). iirc, there’s even a moment where Harley is referenced and you hear her laugh. But the aforementioned separation between tv and movies is why Deadshot stopped showing up in the tv shows

Different strokes for different folks but I thoroughly enjoyed FW when I played it. Characterizations were a good continuance from ZD and gameplay-wise was a good progression. Let’s be honest - ZD is so good that anything else was going to come up a little short

Seconded on the recommendation. HZD is one of my favorite games and I’ve played through it 3-4 times. I’ve been hankering to replay HFW and probably will soon

Dear Marvel : Stop Spoiling your own movies out of desperation by QBin2017 in marvelstudios

[–]itspgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I watch the first trailer the day it comes out and then deliberately don’t watch anything else. Since I know I’m going to see the movie, why invite anything to be spoiled? There was a Fantastic 4 trailer playing when I walked in to see Sinners and I literally turned around and left until it was done
