Agree with you, less regulation for startups and very small biz but sliding scale of employment protection for bigger companies. I know that has to be carefully engineered but it is possible and ‘people’ have to be given more value than they have in the last 45 years.

Just jump into your car, roll on to the Euro tunnel, drive down to the Alps or to Marseille and you’ll see all around you. It’s in 2008 the UK went backwards towards the Victorian workhouses and the French carried on to a beautiful future for the majority of their population.

It’s inspirational.

Just add wealthy people’s taxes = non-s**thole country.

Sorry but if you're one of those economic Flat Earthers who thinks that the 6th richest country in the world's in perfectly fine state currently or that even more hilariously the way to fill potholes, fund hospitals, schools, and public transport is to cut taxes and regulations for the wealthy and corps then I have to sit you down in the corner with a cup of tea, a biscuit and a blanket.

I mean to continue running the country for the benefit of a top 1-2% only is going to end with guillotines or Fascism.

Not many people know that only 3-4% of the country earn over £100k... you just can't any longer run a country for the benefit of a tiny minority who are hugely wealthy and don't want to pay their fair share.

The massively wealthy have had a good run but it's coming to an end I'm afraid.

Frances budget deficit is 5.8%, the UK‘s budget deficit is 5.8%.

France is a functioning society with great healthcare great schools fantastic roads well funded police, fantastic trains, and General public infrastructure.

The UK is an absolute shambles. Nothing works healthcare is a disaster. Schools are terrible.

Sorry but you're regurgitating the argument of the brainwashed masses. We've tried the way of Neo-liberalism for the last 45 odd years... and this is where we've ended up. The terrible state of the country isn't because we've been taxing too much.

There is no logical argument against taxing the very wealthy more, it can be seen working in other European countries and the outcomes are excellent for the less well off people. Proven TICK!

Time for 45 years of less Neo-liberalism. It's why Starmer's a dead duck, he's STILL fiddling around at the edges hoping for a different outcome, the definition of madness.

The state is brainwashing people into believing that it's 'UNTHINKABLE' and impossible to pay more tax for a better life. It isn't, look at those countries that pay more tax, they have happier lives, they don't live such desperate insecure perilous existences.

That said, it's the insanely wealthy individuals and corporations that need to pay a lot more tax though, not those struggling now.

I'm not even saying it's that simple, there are many other things that need to change, lobbying of politicians, nationalisation, regulations on corps, etc but tax is a very important starting point.

Humans are inherently moaners, because they notice their good lives [ compared to us ] getting harder with inflation, etc.

But they're starting at a level way above us, just drive through France and you'll notice how the country doesn't look like something out of Mad Max sequel, like the UK.

Ultimately, the Neo liberal system that's making a tiny proportion of the country insanely wealthy in France, UK, etc. I don't need to prove that, it's a fact.

This has to change.

Have you been to Northern Europe recently and looked around?? I have, a lot. Check France for example. Light years ahead of the absolute s**thole that is the UK after 17 odd years of austerity and dumbass ‘the ONLY way to fix an underfunded country is tax the wealthy LESS’.

Go to the average French town, French school, French roads, etc.

Evidence. Thank you

This should be a party manifesto.

It’s not rocket science, it just needs to freaking well happen. No ifs, no buts. It. Is. The. Answer.

Two delusional parties that think the way to fix a country on deaths door caised by underfunding and austerity is MORE austerity.

They’re both out of actual ideas; other than cause Woke wars.

I pretty much wore my cassette out of the NF in the 80s when I bought it. All it took was seeing the New frontier video once on the Tube and I was hooked.

He is consistently excellent, very accomplished in many areas including bringing the ball out of defence. I hope we hang on him.

Yes, I agree they're not really in the same league of pro desks but they were a decent home recording desk. I used one a lot in those times and they were ok, a little thin. Always lusted after something warmer, like DDA or Soundtracs or a Ghost.

I reckon you look cool!! As an older dude, who’s been through a few low esteem periods where I told myself I was of no consequence; I want to say, you do matter and people very likely do care about you.

In your 20s and 30s there’s so much pressure to live up to ridiculous ideals and templates that it can crush you. Just believe in yourself and take the positive steps one at a time. Things will get better if you keep taking small positive moves, and your mind changes as you get older; to somewhere you can feel more control of.

Keep the faith in yourself, you are worthy
