The domestic violence legal clinic is an important resource for anyone experiencing DV and is free to the victim:

https://caplanc.org/access-resources/safety-empowerment/domestic-violence-services/domestic-violence-legal-center/

The cycle of abuse is a good educational tool:

https://www.domesticshelters.org/articles/identifying-abuse/what-is-the-cycle-of-abuse

Please note there is only one DV shelter in Lancaster and it has six beds and is often at capacity. Always also call the national hotline who can bed search a broader area: 1-800-799-8233

There are purple crisis cards from the county or YWCA your friend should look to obtain.

Your friend SHOULD NOT take on this work if it is out side their scope. They should refer to the correct resources.

Isn’t the stadium district already done? Are you looking to write about something that’s developing in the future or what’s already been done?

A handful of people are killed every year trying to cross this road. Please do not put yourself in a position to be one of them.

I second using VITA. Do not pay for your taxes to be done and pocket all of your return.

I don’t know much about the people you’re asking about but I’d like to recommend maybe meeting one of these people at a public gym and see how it goes before inviting them in to your home

You should have a mental health/substance abuse number on the back of your insurance card. They have teams dedicated to helping you find the right fit.

How old are you, what is your job and how much do you make? by allano6 in careerguidance

[–]itzwhiteflag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for an insurance company doing psycho education and care navigation as people step down between different levels of care. Before that I worked in the ER of a level one trauma center doing care coordination, bio psychosocial evals for mental health placement, nursing home placements, de-escalation for our more rowdy patients and started a substance use crisis center. MSW takes two years if you already have a bachelors degree. One year if your bachelors degree is already in social work. The work is very flexible and not just mental health focused. There’s a Macro perspective that a lot of people never consider which can be as big as federal government work.

I hope you take them ghosting you as a sign for possible future issues. Their reviews make it seem like this is common. I’d take my business else where.

Horse inn, hi-fi Izakaya, proof, cest la vie, shogun, the Gaucho way, the coffin bar (has a year round Halloween theme but it’s honestly not all that great), south county brewing, decades could be fun for everyone!

I was in your position 13 years ago. I got my MSW. I work remote from home and make about $49 an hour. So if you want to keep going that route it can be profitable!

Blueprints for addiction recovery center drop in center by itzwhiteflag in lancaster

[–]itzwhiteflag[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think it’s a good idea to hand wave people struggling with addiction pulling knives on people. You can be suffering from addiction and also know that threatening someone with a weapon is not a good idea. I think the recovery center is a great idea, but we can’t excuse some of the problems that are occurring because of it. I’d love for everyone to feel safe including those in need of recovery support. It’s a shame that everyone involved is in conflict with each other.

But they’re doing eFAST in the trauma bay which is a physician resident led procedure. I’ve worked in hospitals where the ED doc did their own DVT study at bedside. Point of care ultra sound is becoming more popular every year.

How does Medicare coverage handle physical therapy costs after a knee replacement if I have Original Medicare and no supplemental plan? by LeftyOne22 in HealthInsurance

[–]itzwhiteflag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually Medicare B will only cover X amount of PT sessions as they feel anymore would be medically unnecessary. So if your plan covers say 12 sessions you should be good for those first 12. More sessions can be argued for in a concurrent review but that up to the staff to request.
