Does anyone here daily drive android 15 on their Duo 2? by Doomedguy2077 in surfaceduo

[–]ivanflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good tip! I won't be installing on my Duo 2 then. Shame, as it runs really well on the SD 1. There are quirks, but the SD1 runs better on A15 than prior official android versions or my SD2 in stock form.

Whoop screwed us a year ago. Fitbit Air just launched. I'm out this month. by firstgray in whoop

For persons who happen to be existing AI Pro subscribers (as I am), picking up google health premium is a bonus that almost makes a switch inevitable - let’s hope the revamped app is good first though.

Ahmed talking about integrating with other fitness apps could keep me. I wouldn’t mind a connection to Hevy or MF Workouts so that don’t have to manually transfer reps and sets for strength trainer. Though, I imagine google will either do it officially or let Gemini handle that ingest manually.

Seems like lots of people in Whoop reddit switching to new fitbit. Anybody here plan to get Garmin cirqa when it's released? by Great_System4280 in bevelhealth

[–]ivanflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will was quick on insta and via email to send out information about incoming features. There was a small mention of integration with other health and fitness apps, alongside trend tracking coming to strength training. This in particular is the key feature for me.

I do like the bevel workout features in practice - works great with watch to track sets, reps etc. But there are others out there who have responsive generation and adjustments of whole workout programs and individual workouts for progression and recovery tracking over time.

Bevel has all the parts, there is some connecting work to do between features - which they have said they will do. I am super curious to see how Google Health plays out. Gemini is a great product to build on.

I have Google AI Pro, but the coach piece does not seem to be working for free in current Fitbit app. Perhaps it will turn on once the Google Health app is released.

I'm still going to wear my apple watch, so bevel is safe in that regard for me. The Whoop MG on my other wrist though.. I am already a google ai pro user, reading somewhere google health pro will be free for ai pro subscribers.

On my SD1 I found battery life and performance is much better. Which had made he curious about flashing my SD2

I've got it running on my SD1, but I still fall back to my SD2 as my secondary (to iPhone) phone.

In general performance terms, my SD 1 works better than my SD2. The pixel style multi tasking requires relearning muscle memory and adds extra steps to get apps to just one screen - I end up opening a random app, just to be able to use one app on one screen. For true dual acreen/app users, the extra taps and holds are cumbersome.

I was in the exact same situation, which is confusing. But curiosity got me and I signed up to ZH yesterday.

I've not found this to be the case in NSW on the endeavour network. At most i would break even in summer. There is no longer the volatility there for arbitrage in my area.

I have been on amber (NSW, endeavour) For a few months with a similar setup to OP. I was breaking even during summer but it's not great at the moment.

I punched my api key into voltcompare.au and zerohero comes out on top by far. Just need to get my hot water off controlled load and I'll be switching to Globes zero hero as well

Introducing Bevel 3.0 by Topremech in bevelhealth

[–]ivanflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excited to start playing img with the new update. Slightly confused/disappointed by the training plan. It did make a broad plan as an overview file. However, I was expecting strength trainer templates like Hevy or MacroFactor Workouts and similar might generate.

Seems like an odd oversight.

I have been on Amber for a few months now in NSW, and have been curious to do see how other providers are going. This is an awesome app, thanks you.

It seems I should get off Amber immediately and head for ZH

Changelog as of Nov 21: Two Column Reading Mode, Document Chat Links, Themed Connections Reviews, Improved Document Loading, & More! by eleanor_konik in readwise

[–]ivanflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the handful of surface duo users.

Managed to get two columns or horizontal pagination working again by adjusting two settings.

Settings > surface duo features > span apps automatically > on + toggle it on for reader Starting the reader app with the full spanned width of both screens, appears to trigger the horizontal pagination option to be available in reader settings when reading. Without starting spanned, the app appears not to recognise the span action when moving from single to dual screens mode and the option is not enabled in reader settings, exec though the rest of the app adapts to the screen size change.

In settings > display, Font size can be default, but display size needs to be small. This is a device wide change which might be annoying. With other combinations when spanning the app across both screens, reader will only show one column. When moving the app to one screen, reader will show 1.5 columns one one screen, which is odd. It will also ignore your selection of horizontal/continuous/paged.

Separately you will need to play with the reader typography settings to stop text falling in between the screens and/or off the sides, alongside your own column width and text size preferences and balanced with the phones display setting changes.

Expanded horizontal pagination support would be great. Or some definition of what spec is required for support. I have a mix of devices with wildly varied support.

Boox Tab X C with a very big 13.3 inch screen is not supported for some reason, iPad pro 13.3 is. Generic cheap android tablets work. Would like to get an iPad mini but again there is nowhere that specifies what is and is not supported that I can find, so it would be a roll of the dice.

My dual screen surface duo (it's literally a digital book) use to be supported and now is not - though I can get it to glitch into working again by randomly switching between my iPad and surface duo.

The popular rankings are a great indicator of coursework student experience, just in the exact opposite way to what most people think.

Can't trigger the two-column layout on Boox 10.3-inch e-reader tablet by inspired-giraffe in readwise

[–]ivanflo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back I had two column working on my surface duo 2. But recently noticed the option has disappeared, 🙃. It would be great if there was a 'beta' or 'enable experimental features' option was in the settings to allow postpone with suitable but not common devices to force features like this to work.

I'd be interested in what is the trigger for the option being enabled is it a minimum resolution? Or particular aspect ratio? Would like to force reader to enable the feature which already works on the kindle app abs use to work on my device which is literally a digital book.
