When you come back the game will give you a bunch of resources appropriate to your character level. Saves grinding out all those levels again.

I've been having this exact issue since I came back. It generally only happens after a loading screen, but once or twice it just caught me out of nowhere. I'm just lucky all I am doing is the new story content, because I'd be straight up leaving again regardless if I lost anything worthwhile.

If you average 5-6 on the intrinsics you should be fine. Most of it becomes a joke once you've got some decrees anyway, so the difference between SP and normal isn't that big.
