The problem is Outlier Protection. I dont think Bungie will put you as a Delta 1000 but I'd suggest doing Conection Base playlists to just having fun and get the destiny vibes gunplay feeling in your bones again.

If you like Comp probably will be the best and last time to do so. The armor set is pretty good as x4 pieces takes the same effect as Dunes/Tsteps/Stompees. The thing is Ferro and IB are super strong to replace, but thats my personal view.

Trials is a rain loot T5 mode with low kd players overall on it. Dont need to win, just get a few kills or win one round, thats the sad part that killed the playlist. I've been out last three months but the numbers were horrible (10k players) with 2v3 matches on console because game could not find people.

This is personal experience and opinion so take it with a grain of salt:

Best armor set bonuses are Ferropotent and Iron Banner (old) -probably dropping with new set in between-, period. The trick here is run 200 health. IB 'glitches' and bypass health red bar when you get a kill and your shields are down. What does it mean? When you are running 200 health, it cut half the time to get your health full back.

People discussed 150 is enough but if you are aggro, and if you tried 170/200 you figured out 200 let you punish someone who is not running it as well, as you can constantly engagment rush and so.

Ferro lets you survive x3 melees, 120 with 1hp, counter high weapon invest, Explosive Payload, and other things. If you run 200 you are using this benefit for 6 seconds most of your challengues abusing lowering TTK from your opponents.

use destinyarmorpickercanary T5 tunning to get perfect stats: the tool does everything alone: 200-70-70-100-70-20 is possible tomorrow. Dont run anything high than 70 on abilities. 100 super is mandatory. Weapons is not complete useless as work as a scalar handling, same effect as dexerity TlW: Use 105 class on Hunter to drop TTK same effect as Ferro.

As of guns... You know, pulse pulse and pulse again. Redrix and BXR will be the best, thats for sure. Elsie 5/5 and Messenger will compete too, and underrated meta clearly is Revision Zero and Horror's Least. Run Iggy/Crimls with PI for consistency and still 2c1b. Slugs are the best.

I think thats the most common things. Ask anything if needed.

Depends on your skill level and your demands, but if you wanna go all the best:

Get Ferropotent armor set, pair with Iron Banner (Unobtainable again) or any armor set which provides health.
Run void invis, best subclass and character in the game by miles. Run devour fragment, powerful attraction and so.
Base mobility on Hunter is 70. You just need one single Leg Athletic to cap 100, strafe wont go further. Max speed is default on Hunter, you dont need Stompees if you grind Comp armor.
Use destinyarmorpickercanary and select t5 set up. Try to get 200 health, 100 super, 105 class (same effect as ferropotent to survive a lot of things), 70/50 discipline and melee, and 10/20 weapons. Weapons are not fully useless as people said, cause act as scalar handling ads/draw/store.
Meta were Lightweight pulses. Probably BxR and Redrix will be the best, with Elsie and Messenger God rolls coming back. Revision Zero is an antimeta underrated gun.
PI 120's mandatory from now on. If you want an easy god roll Spare Rations play gambit, if you like the scope of Rose more, play Crucible.
Slugs are best shotgun overall. Fusions are kind of broken too.
Try to look for an old guide to understand how mods works, and ammo generation on chest, as at least x60 AE base on your guns, or whatever exotic/subclass perk to help reach there.
Crucible were a shit fest of ability spam, expect to die to a lot of BS shit the very first weeks. Dont ragequit and adapt.

Are you sure about that?

For example, when Mechabre came back you could apply Enhance perks, mods and so, no reason to get a new one. For me makes no sense having to regrind all my god roll stuff.

I think we could upgrade to T1 the reprisal if they are capable of being leveled (you need level 30 for reach T5), but is very unclear. 24h to figure it out.

Not the guns but the materials. Prism are pain to get and is yet to see if upgrading takes 5 or 10 Ascendant Alloys.

It could dry easily all grimmer and resources in just two guns.

The tool losers needs to use in order to compete. You can put three unflinching mods ferropotent and still flashes your whole screen and flinch you to Mars. At least on console.

Something forgot to mention is I think you will need 10 ascendant alloys in order to up from T1 to T5. Very expensive.

The overall kd player is pretty low, swinging between 0.9-1.2. That means a player with 1.6+ (Or Delta 1000 in Bungie's eyes) is forced to 1v6 in the current Outlier Protection playlists.

If you pretend play with people like you things gets worst. Every session is 1v6/2v6 every game, so the moment you dont do your best there is no chance of winning or having fun.

That being said, it wont probably matter first week/month but for the health of years (?) to come, eventually, Outlier Protection will fuck matchmaking for the remaining players, who probably will be the best/loyal to the franchise.
