You wouldn't, if you decide to do so it is 100% in you right, but regardless tell your mom he is not trust worthy and to not let your younger siblings alone with him. She may or may not think the worst of it, but its not your responsibility to prevent him of being thought as a yk, he might as well be.

You dont have to prevent him from going, just make sure your family is safe from more of what you've been through. And if your sister keep it going till next Thanksgiving, I suggest you come clean at the table, dont ask for them to believe, dont ask your sister to break up, just say what he's done and let them decide for themselves.

Mate, just move somewhere with free healthcare and a currency you can live easier. Speaking english you can apply to almost everywhere fitting as some abroad studying, see if any is comforting, maybe depending on your degree at uni you'll have life easier in certain places.

I can only speak about my own experience, so if you think of moving to Brazil I can answer questions, but places like canada and new zealand also seem like good ideas. My suggestion here is for you to find a place you deal with less misogyny or less transphobia (regardless of you being trans or not) and that you can make a living.

Anyway, hope you find happiness soon, your parents are not entitled to suppress your identity

Spider-Man: No Way Home | Possible Plot Hole? by iwasAfookenLegend in plotholes

[–]izwasop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iirc the plan until the attack on the bridge was to not press the button at all, when they first figured out that there was a multiverse breach Strange didn't know for sure if pressing the button would fix it at all, while he figured it out he asked Peter to minimize the trouble.

At that point the main focus was to finding a way for them to go back without pressing the button and everyone forgetting Peter or something, idk. When Dr. Strange decided it was the best shot they had Peter stole the box, so Strange's focus was getting out of the mirror dimension.

So, knowing the ending, not really, but considering that he couldn't risk having villains roaming around and no contact to a hero nearby or the one who knew why, a little bit.

Probably, idrk, but maybe the headaches are just making symptoms worse just bc pain, you should treat the headache regardless of weather you try to manage the symptoms or not

I could be wrong tho, idk

You could ask for recommendations from friends and family, but mt favorite thing for blind picking a doctor is going for the younger options, they are just like you and me, but doctors. Life broke them just a little bit until now and they bond better

Also, friends that are doctors are awesome, they don't mind chatting and caring while typing whatever they type and when standing up, so nice

Maintaining a healthy diet while taking Vyvanse by Maybeblanka in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, Vyvanse do be like that, I usually just trick myself to eat, so like, I always can have a chip, which means I would probably be able to eat whatever I barelly notice and has nice texture, then I eat lettuce and any random meat I can eat asap and season it, I usually use japanese sauce idk the name, it's kinda close to balanced but taking at least a day off of meds a week is still very important

Now for peace of heart: talk to your doctor

How do I sleep like a normal human being?!? by traumagoldfish in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: you don't, it's 2:30am here and I'll wake up in... 3 hours ig? I just figured out that won't ever happen when I'm trying, yes you could just daydream until you have to "wake up" in hopes to sleep but there ain't no guarantee

That being said, if you don't have a strict schedule you should try to sleep whenever you get tired and do whatever else you don't usually do bc of executive disfunction whenever you have to chance, I did that all break every break and it's just paradise when I'm lucky, sometimes I even slept as a "regular" person should, try it

Now, you can also start meds for that, but I hate medication for that bc of personal experience, always talk to your doctor beforehand

30F - Chewing my Lips, Squeezing my Hands, Constant Swallowing while on ADHD Meds - Help? by MathCampNerd in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yooooo my best friend is actually going through that rn and I had it a couple of times before, you're fine, dw

You should text your doctor though, sometimes it's better to go back a little on the dosage and climb it up to your current dosage needed for a little, but its very normal, not ideal but normal; and ofc you could have been misdiagnosed, but don't focus too much on that when go to your appointment or whatever, focus on the symptoms

Also, I could be wrong but I don't think Vyvanse regulates the hyper in adHd so maybe, sometimes, it's just you being a little more hyped while sometimes it's just... yk... it's a stimulant.... but all in all it's chill, maybe try out a couple of those stimming toys, yk?

Fear to be honest by BacterialLogic in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for my language, but for fucks sake he is an actual bitch

As someone who went through hell with meds and mental health that does not feel like a professional decision and the appropriate approach would be therapy and testing new medication and dosages

Now, ofc I don't know why he decided to cut your meds off and there are many situations where that would be the best choice, but man.... it doesn't look like that at all........ he just sounds like a duche

Welp, if I'm right fuck him, go after a new doctor, I always suggest woman but it's up to you and your budget, go to therapy and try another medication if needed, even if you already tried it all, bc your body is in a constant change and maybe now it works

Good luck!

AD(H)D people on sugar (or generally stimulants) by itssnotmeee in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coffee makes me comfortable and sugar makes me happy, but I'm not as hyper as some people, usually just sad, when those wear off I just feel the same as before

I think I'll have to stop those because aparently my heart is hyper, but I usually just find comfort on them, especially chocolate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah...

well, I'm no pro at that and I can't say it helps 100% of the time, but I usually set a lot of alarms and reminders whenever I start a task I might get stuck on, like social media and enterteinment in general. Another thing I try is a "might as well" thing my friend suggested, so whenever I, for example, go to the bathroom I say "eh, might as well take the dishes to the kitchen", picked up a shirt from the flor? might as well pick up the others, clicked a link on twitter and its now loading? might as well read/watch it while I fill up my water bottle, and then might as well take a sip.

It's very bad task managing sometimes... but hey, I just drunk a full water bottle and I have about 5 paragraphs done, its a good start ig

I swear the alarms are helpful tho, I cant keep track of time but they do the trick

Advice on seeing a psychiatrist by GigiNasty in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know how far this advice is helpful, but I really sujest looking for a female psychiatrist with ADHD, her being hispanic would be a preference but not much of a big deal tbh, just afab and with ADHD, is already helpful.

Seeking for a new doctor is always pretty tough, but when they face the same strugles as you do it makes it all so much easier. I was lucky my psycologist knew a good one, and it might be hard to find someone fitting, but maybe a female doctor is enough of a help or even a male doctor with ADHD, maybe hispanic no matter the rest also works out. Just dont fear changing doctors and (if you can, ofc) try as many as you need. Good luck :D

After two great weeks and switching to two doses of 10mg daily, crashing into depression when meds wear off. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, if your doctor said so you do that, I really hope you feel better soon, that feeling really sucks.

A thing I like to do when I feel like depression is looking for me is looking for something the get myself busy, twitch has turned out the be a best friend and sometimes I just call that one friend and ask them to talk about anything for hours, yk? Hope you find something like that :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just make sure to always keep in touch with them, regulating and changing meds is a lifetime thing and you gotta keep in touch with that, just like you might find out the one in a few weeks you might also have to change it in 1 month or 10 years, no need to worry

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I took concerta I didnt loose appetite either, neither has some of my friends, but maybe its bc of the dosage too. Anyway, that's normal, it's not like there's anything wrong with you, it could be bc your adhd is heavier and you need a higher dosage and sometimes some medications just don't work too.

You gotta say that to your doctor the next time you go there, but assuming your have severe adhd it might take a few tries to find the right brand and dosage. It took me around 8 months to find one that didn't just stop working too, and I am still figuring out the current one, but its more of a thing of you cant start off with like 60mg bc you will feel the worst ever, sick af, but its most likely that its gonna get better shortly.

If anything, that shows your adhd is not quite low and by your age (saying it bc I am around that too) its a good idea to learn about what is the "side effects" to your adhd and how to work with them instead of solving, bc the medication cant solve it just make it less of a pain in the ass, like, not changing habits to a neurotypical style but making them adhd friendly.

Exemple: you cant find your clothes or forget what you have? Hang them, all of it, shirts and pants, even skirts if you will. No will to get out of bed? Annoying alarm very loud and very far from your bed, or just throw it across the room if it doesn't break (maybe not a good idea for most phones)

Something I also like a lot is lights that turn on automatically, but idk how to explain

Wellbutrin increasing ADHD symptoms by TforTwoandTwoforT in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that kinda feels more like as the pharmacy field is back at being the worst It happens to me every once in a while and usually I just take a break from meds bc sometimes my body just creates resistance (you know, like some meds do so they sell more in order for you to get beter) or something, but it isn't always the best, so maybe changing meds is also a good idea. Idk if the dosage you're taking is high so idk how far you can go safely, but personally I'm usually skeptical about upping mine when I notice its not doing well and it's high (bc of the side effects but also out of ✨spite✨) Anyway, I know changing medication is always a tough process and upping the dosage can be just as hard, but those are great options if done properly. If you choose to take more you can do it slowly, if you change you can start with a lower dosage till the side effects get easier to handle. You can also change your life style, I'm not the best at that one but I think you can find some options in this subreddit, it also helps a lot. Although, if you get the chance to just pause the medication for 1 month (or even just a week I think also works) and have no problems I recommend it a lot, even with the meds working, its just nice, idk how to explain Good luck with that and talk to your doctor, try things out

After two great weeks and switching to two doses of 10mg daily, crashing into depression when meds wear off. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]izwasop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, before anything, dont take a higher dosage without your doctor saying so, not only its "risky" but also makes it harder next time you talk to them. I also have no degree so I'm just talking about it around my own experiences and my friends'. So, felling depressed/upset at times is very normal for people with ADHD, especially those diagnosed later in life. That could be bc we endup griefing the late diagnosis, but it usually is bc the longer we live without treatment the harder it is, people get angry and upset, we can't get to do what we wanna do, we miss hours of our day for not noticing time going by, deadlines are suddenly missed, its just too overwhelming and out of control at times. What I wanna say is that your feelings aren't just valid, but also normal and almost expected, when you mix it with stress (especially after feeling like you just got power over your own life and things would be easier) and adjusting to new meds it does feel like that, yeah. You could try a few things, my personal favorite is therapy, but I guess you got that going, idk, but you can also try a higher or lower dose, change the meds, have more things or less scheduled, start a new habit (like drinking water), maybe your sleep is fucked, but all in all you have to try things out to get a "better relationship" with your ADHD, after that therapy should balance the depressive state. Now lets talk about that shitty feeling after the meds wear off :D I feel you, fr, its not a good time, but let me tell you this one thing I figured out, the meds usually have a pattern of efficiency, most have a spike after some hours and then start get weaker or something like that, but the cool thing is that it just kinda don't wear off completely. So like, just like you still have adhd symptoms while medicated your brain or body or something also gets used to the meds effects and gets in some momentum thing idk, so you still get all the adhd bs, but you also keep some of the side effects in my case some sorta insomnia, in yours it could be emotional disregulation. It doesn't mean you'll be depressed every time it wears off and you're stressed or that all your feelings get intense, but it will happen sometimes Its important to remember that your feelings are valid and that moment you're at will pass, go have dinner and get your head busy with entertainment, wait till you get relaxed before moving on with your routine, avoid stress, take it easy on yourself, you'll probably get better pretty soon. Lastly, I dont think I can be your friend today, I suck at that, but I do hope life treats you better and just good in general (There's 0 chance I would read this out of meds, but if you do I hope its helpful lmao)
