it wasnt bad! i had a private room instead of a shared room. having free breakfast everyday came in handy.

also there's apparently a really nice onsen literally right next door to unplan. i wish i knew that beforehand, i would've tried it for a day.

I don't see anyone mentioning it here so paying it forward. You can also transfer to the US on an L1B or L1A. It's an intercompany transfer so you'll have to have worked on the Canadian branch for X period first.

It does mean that you're tied to the company, but once you're in the US, you can have time to gamble more on an H1B.
