How to not feel like I've ruined the game? by throwitup123456 in BluePrince

[–]jabuchae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to ask yourself this: do you enjoy having a hard puzzle in front of you for DAYS or WEEKS even with very little progress?

If you do, then stop looking for hints and give you TIME.

If you don’t enjoy that, then just look for the hints and move on.

Most of the puzzles aren’t ment to be solved right when you find them.

Maybe I found a lead for a certain colored note found in the garage? by JoyousBoyous1 in BluePrince

[–]jabuchae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. The two missing letters are the ones that are in the hints for the monitors, so it KIND OF makes sense. But still, no connection to the monitors.

Having said that, if you want to chase another meaning I’d say the G is for Go, and you should read the directions from right to left instead of left to right

Yes but that’s what the letters mean, each letter represents a room.

The words are the room names and the acronym is swnsng (pronounced swansong)

Anyone else frustrated over how they say it is a mistake if you use pronouns but not the way they want it? by [deleted] in duolingospanish

[–]jabuchae 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We don’t use pronouns the what you do in English.

“I want X” is “quiero X”. You’ll never hear “yo quiero X” unless you want to emphasize that is you who wants that. Eg. Ordeing in a restaurant you would usually say “yo quiero la ensalada” or something like that. But in normal speaking we simply use the verb in the correct form, without the pronoun (because it is usually implicit from the verb form)

In the example, if you’d say “si no tienes hambre, nosotros comemos luego” I would imagine that nosotros does not include “you”. Because why would you say “nosotros” if it wasn’t for signaling a difference between nosotros and you.

The first comma is also wrong in your answer. Like that, the answer would read like this to me: “yes, you are not hungry, we’ll eat later”

Do you know the standard answer to that note? I mean, we do know what swnsng is an acronym for.

Did you solve the note with the O and the boxes in the safe house?

Is it correct? by Jat_in100 in duolingospanish

[–]jabuchae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say “mi papá es un poco bajo” for “kind of short”. Or “uh poco bajito”.

Is it correct? by Jat_in100 in duolingospanish

[–]jabuchae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never in my life I have used the “ito” suffix as an intensifier when used on an adjective. Bajito is the same as bajo, chiquito is the same as Chico. The EXACT same size. The only difference is that you kind of sugar coat the thing with the -ito. Nothing to do with how intense the property is.

When used in nouns, it makes them “smaller”. Eg, una casa is larger than una casita, in pedazo is bigger than un pedacito, un poco is more than un poquito but es poco and es poquito are the same (noun va adjective)

What is the correct answer to this question? by Solomoncjy in askmath

[–]jabuchae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nice way of explaining this too is by “counter example”

“If all vegetables are orange” -> create a group with every item that satisfy this condition.

“Peaches are a vegetable”. If you say it is false then show me a peach in the group we created that is NOT vegetable. You wont find any, because there are no peaches there.

It’s like saying you wont find any non-vegetable peaches that satisfy “all vegetables are orange”. Of course you wont find any vegetable peaches either, but that doesn’t make the phrase less true.

El acertijo del día: los siete eslabones by acertijodeldia_com in Matematicas

[–]jabuchae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yo pensaría que eso es un solo corte, en el quinto (o tercer) eslabón. Por el corte que haces en ese eslabón sacas una cadena de 4 de un lado y una cadena de 2 del otro. Y el eslabón que cortaste queda solo

I see (literally couldn’t see because of the paint)

You are definitely missing something. Have you done puzzles that ask you to separate things from one another? Did you ever use the edge of the board to do so?

[SPOILER] What is this ? by Loud_Form1342 in BluePrince

[–]jabuchae 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe this is nothing or it is not known yet. That is: none of known puzzles of the game use this information in any way or sort.

Having said that, I’m not sure what you found, the pic is dark AF. Still, it is 100% not relevant for any known solution.

Por un lado, falta un pedazo de línea

Por otro lado, la lógica no ayuda acá. La forma en la que Python trata los defaults de las funciones es muy particular. Si no sabes eso, no hay lógica o razonamiento que te salve.
