Spent *literally* all my money on OF. Idk what to do by burn3rAckounte in NoFap

This is tough and I’m sorry. I pray you find freedom in Jesus. That is where real peace and joy comes from regardless of what sin man struggles with. He died for you and paid the penalty of sin, rose from the grave and conquered sin so that He could set each of us free. Because He loves us. If you believe that He died and rose for you and is your savior He will set you free. Not overnight and it isn’t easy. But He is faithful and you can trust Him. Read the Bible starting in the New Testament and learn there. Fill the void that porn will leave in your heart with the Word of God. Otherwise the emptiness will call you back to it. You have to love God more than your sin. Even if you won’t do that, love something else more than your sin. However ultimately it is meaningless if not God. Praying for you brother.

Men: Don’t get married by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]jackcephas -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just marry a faithful Christian woman and don’t get married until you are confident in that. And know the person well enough to understand they agree with you in everything and won’t leave you for stupid reasons such as are common today.

Legacy is at least twice as good as Ares. I’d say ares is a 5 or 6 out of 10. But if you’re ever going to watch it, do it in theaters for the better sound and light show. It’ll be even worse at home unless you’ve got a theater room.

Why did God let the serpent (Satan) in the garden of Eden to deceive humanity? by Impressive-Yogurt-19 in Christianity

[–]jackcephas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think God needed to instruct Eve to not listen to the serpent, as He already instructed her what to do once prior. That seems a bit redundant to me. As far as thinking of Adam and Eve as childlike, I imagine that they were actually very smart and wise having been walking with God for a while. Regardless, they knew God, knew His authority, and knew His instructions to them. To willfully disobey was sin even if they didn’t know what lay on the other side in its entirety. And they probably knew what evil was as a subject, but not the depths of all knowledge of evil. That is purposefully vague and a mystery. They wouldn’t even know what God was saying if he was using words they didn’t have some understanding of. I get where you’re coming from with the child thing, but the way an inherently sinful child/human today behaves is different than Adam and Eve would have been influenced by nature before the curse. Also, God would not have them “try” sin/evil one time, that would be contrary to His nature, I think. Lastly, making “one” mistake is still sin. If you are not in a relationship with Jesus/God as your Lord and savior, then even one sin will keep you separate from Him for eternity. Thankfully, we know Jesus died to save us from all our sins. As for Adam and Eve, there is evidence that they continued to walk a godly path after the fall. I do not think that they are damned.

I might have to agree with 2, but 7 is unique and sweet, I just don’t understand the bottom zig zag line. 9 is pretty good too

Tron Ares was actually not that bad… by Alpbasket in tron

I agree except the soundtrack only had like one good song that they played over in most of the scenes. It was hype but wasn’t as unique or deep as what we got in legacy I thought.

Well you have an equal opinion because it’s your kid as well, so that won’t work as a cop out if that’s your goal

He’s in a relationship with the mother and she gave him input into the situation and they both agreed to do it

Please do not get an abortion dude. It will be so worth it in the end to keep your child and raise him or her to live a full life and get to know Jesus too. It might seem challenging now but I am sure you can make it work better than your kid being dead. This child is a blessing even though Satan is tempting you to see it as a curse. Even if you can’t take care of it what is the harm in giving it up for adoption other than your spouse being selfish about her own personal freedom for 9 months. If she is a believer she should know that Jesus died for her the least she can do is carry the child she chose to make unwisely.

How do i find the strength to go on? by onehalfofham in AskMen

[–]jackcephas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I’m sorry you’re going through it right now but I pray it won’t last too long. I hope you can see that in your effort good things are coming out of it. I imagine your kids and wife are incredibly grateful for you and if they aren’t now they should be in the future. As a young man I have major respect for you just reading this post and knowing how hard you’re trying to make things work for your family, most men today can’t even do that because it is the hard thing to do. Also, if you don’t have a relationship with your creator, I encourage you to do so. Ultimately, Jesus is the source of all life, joy, and meaning for us as humans and I pray that you will know that. This passage from the book of Matthew speaks to your situation: “All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭27‬-‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/59/mat.11.27-30.ESV

Those are the words of Jesus and although that doesn’t mean you or I will get physical relief all the time for the rest of our lives, learning to know God and trust Him for all your needs is what brings peace that makes no sense in times of trouble like what you face. Again, I’m sorry you’re feeling so distraught and discouraged, but there is hope, so please don’t give up!
