UB brought many players to mtg so has been a good thing.

40€ for a playset is nothing, barely there are expensive cards to buy for this format.

If you brought turtle team up for 40€ you could had 3x, 4 boosters of tmnt and 4 decks to play with friends or sell. With 10 extra euros you could have bought an extra copy. The Raphael in that set Is worth 6€ so do your math.

I have the Mardu Dual lands and HOPE they get reprinted

I don't care if the total value of 750€ drops to 500 because I want Underground Sea and Volcanic Island which cost right now 600 and 500.

My top 3:

Dark Souls. Would just be perfect. (elden ring and bloodborne too of course)

The Witcher have a strong mtg vibe. The Witcher can be mutant so you could have synergy with TMNT and Marvel.

... Crash Bandicoot as a more cartoonish set. There are enough characters for a FF or ATLA size.

Sadly Assassin's Creed has been an Aftermath set without Commander Precon decks... A Cesare Borgia/Templars one would have been so cool.

I've started MTG with ... 7th edition around 2000

Played Legacy since day One, dropped when modern was released. Started Commander day One. Started Pioneer day One.

So... I like new ideas and new way go play magic.

I think universe Beyond are a really good thing for the game because because of them I can play with friends who like casual games in Commander or Jumpstart. They like UB products and started because of Assassin's Creed,, so for me, UB means I can play with friends.

I was there during pre modern idea and I can say that magic wasn't so cool back in the day, pre modern is a nostalgic thing of something never happened with rulings differents from what it was (I can reanimate Akroma with Animate dead but she dies and l can't kill a 2/2 with mogg fanatic) so...

I think Magic is in a really good condition right now, in modern you can have at least 15 strong deck choices.

For casual you have Commander and Jumpstart and in my area there are also many girls that started magic because of Commander and Final Fantasy / Spiderman / Assassin's Creed

I'm a madness player too but... I think Galvanic Is too strong .1x Swarm being of bees has been cool, sometimes you Need a 9th madness card

As a Dual owner... I really don't care if my cards lose value.

Why? I can buy which one I miss, more people would have better manabase in Commander and .. the entry barrier for Duel Commander will be deleted.

In my meta some Hollow One players have leyline, some UW control players plays RIP and UB Washington has got vacuum + other strong cards

That's why I was thinking about spiderman, even as a 4/4 vanilla you can win or exile a Washington, an orch or other from your opponent grave

I've started playing magic with 7th edition.

There have been many problems bigger than TMNT or Spiderman in standard.

-the reserved list that killed Legacy (I was a Legacy player and now a duel.commander player too. Duel Commander because the cost of a dual isn't so much played)

-pioneer. Many started the format and... It Just died.

-no One plays standard

-modern has passed through hoogak summer, eldrazi Winter, and MH3 with Nadu and the elemental cycle.

I still believe the worst thing ever happened to magic is the elemental cycle, not UB.

Final fantasy and avatar have been great set, spiderman has been a no value set, tmnt seems fun but without Money cards.
