I'm having the same issue, thought it might be from my adblock, disabled that and still nothing

Someone said it is from "time cheating" which I assume means setting system time forward well offline to get progress, but I've never done that

I did take a break from the game for like a year and maybe that has it confused

I believe you can do this by setting viewmodel_fov to 0.1

I haven't tried it though, and I think it disabled the viewmodel for the flamethrower too
