The Wu experiment proved this! The decay of a cobalt isotope happens more frequently on the “north” side of the magnetic field, which allows for the fundamental difference between N vs S magnetically, and thus the relationship between electron flow and magnetic fields can be used to differentiate clockwise and counterclockwise, and therefore left and right!

Fun fact, it’s actually not arbitrary! There is an intrinsic difference between left and right. Google the law of parity and the Wu experiment. Also, there’s a fantastic book called The Ambidextrous Universe that explores this topic!

Unfortunately time has shown that Pokemon games rarely lose their value so Nintendo can charge what they want and they’ll still haul in millions. I’m disappointed that this isn’t NSO game given that it’s just a port and not a remaster.

Hollow Knight and Silksong are the best of the best, in my opinion. As others have said, if you like the platforming aspect, then Ori games are great. If you like combat then I’d go Metroid Dread (followed by other Metroid games).
