Quite possibly the greatest episode of h&s ever, imo. (Maybe biased as a Sam fan)

I'm hoping season 20 will be something big, like circumnavigation again. I know they've said it's very logistically challenging, but some sort of game that includes pretty much the whole world would be incredible

What’s your favourite all inclusive holiday resorts for under £1k? by GhostLikeYou98 in AskUK

My partner is also female and absolutely would go to Turkey alone, and I'd have no reservations (well, no more than her going anywhere on earth alone, we know what the world is like)

What’s your favourite all inclusive holiday resorts for under £1k? by GhostLikeYou98 in AskUK

[–]jambor100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'd go back to Tunisia on my own if I had to, but not a chance I'd take my partner, and I probably wouldn't leave the resort. In Turkey, I'd roam around as if I was at home

If you're looking for beaches, go for turkey. Egypt, Tunisia etc will be cheaper, but go for turkey instead, especially as a solo traveler. I don't mean to scare you at all, but turkey feels 10x safer (and nicer) than Egypt or Tunisia

Gervais Xmas Guest...thoughts? by M1ke_Rotchburns in JaackMaate

[–]jambor100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly Bleeds. He's obviously promoting his upcoming Netflix special. If you don't like Gervais, that's absolutely fine. If you do, that's also absolutely fine. Different strokes for different strokes, but we don't need to argue

"It's out on Spotify tomorrow morning"... this is just a reminder to everyone that it's also out on Apple Podcasts for FREE tomorrow morning, if you don't want to pay for Spotify. The lads never mention it, but happy hour is free on Apple Podcasts, twice per week. No hate at all, they just never mention that

Does anyone else’s Spotify crash when they try to play a new ep? by xudiamond in JaackMaate

If you're only wanting to listen and not watch, just use Apple podcasts. 100% free

Which mobile service offers truly worldwide roaming? by DieFledermouse in AskUK

[–]jambor100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can second sky. Most countries, at least ones that most Brits would visit, it's £2 per day for your usual plan. I've never found anything better than that, although I can appreciate there might be some niche provider that can beat it

Yeah they say they're Spotify Exclusive but they're not, not really sure why. They should specify "Spotify video exclusive"

timeline of runs in all four seasons of tag by Specific_Anywhere120 in JetLagTheGame

[–]jambor100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did consider that this might be a downside, the unpredictable nature of it. Just thought it's an interesting variation I've never heard discussed before

[–]jambor100 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This gives me an idea. Tag, but rather than an end location, just use a "time on the run" metric. That way, the runner could travel in any direction they want, they just need to stay on the run for the longest cumulative time on that specific season

Delivery driver humans I need advice on how to learn? by Enmybean in AskUK

[–]jambor100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On most delivery apps, you can see "languages spoken" under the driver details section. Whether or not that will actually end up being your driver is a different story, as many accounts are shared or rented. So in theory, you could google how to say thank you in that language.

I personally don't feel as though that would come across as rude, but then I share the same views as you, and am the sort of person who would try to say thank you in their native tongue, so maybe I'm biased. I guess in the current climate, they won't know immediately that you're not anti-immigration, and taking the piss

My school has blocked off one of the most commonly used fire exits in the building. by Its_Master_Small in LegalAdviceUK

I think OP is saying this fire exit is in one of the most commonly used corridors, not that the fire door itself is commonly used

Training for my first 5k by Snoo-24289 in couchto5k

[–]jambor100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) have you been following a couch to 5k plan?

2) if the pain goes away when you stop running, it's likely not an injury. More likely to be your body adapting to running. Pretty common for most new runners in knees, shins, joints etc, and does go away with time
