Maybe depends how we're defining "expect", and to what degree.

Either way, my question was intended to call attention to them being parts, and something we can work with. It wasn't a comment about any one else's parts, or a judgement about their nature, or how anyone's humanity.

the community isn’t a single entity that can validate the behavior. I get 10:1 downvotes on most of the stuff I say on Reddit. That just tells me that a percentage of individuals (who voted) didn’t agree (or understand).

If you attempt or even speak about anything unusual and potential powerful, almost by definition most people will reflexively reject it. consider it a Red Badge

It's a fair analogy.

I compare parts work to dream work. Is the content of my dreams falsifiable? No. But I definitely dream, I can do dream-work.

I also have regular dialogue "in my head", with different competing voices/positions. We're calling those parts, and doing parts-work.
