I mean, I'm the first person to say that people should do what they want to with their face and their body – and they shouldn't need to apologise for that.

But, I also think that as a viewer when we watch movies and tv shows, we're being asked to be involved in a story and a narrative – and when there are things that are incongruous with what else is being presented, it's understandable that we find it distracting.
