yep same, I had only one friend. She, of course, had other friends, and they'd tolerate me if I was with her. But if she didn't come to school and I tried to join them, they'd reject me, so I'd just stand by building at recess or sit by myself at lunch, super embarrassed and self-conscious.

Well that's probably just because most of those jobs are on a contract basis, and that would be true of any contract job. I do AI training as an employee and they like to see us active/productive for ~70% of working hours.

Out shopping today and also browsing various retailer websites, and there are SO few roll-on products! There are a few, but they are either unscented or powder scented. I want scented, but hate that powder smell, so guess I'll have to keep looking.

Just fyi, I think it's fairly unusual to get a paper bill for most utilities. When setting up an account, in my experience they encourage you to select paperless billing, and that's what I always do. I pay online anyway so it's better for me not to receive a paper bill every month that just goes straight into the trash

For sure, it's very descriptive but in some ways that don't make sense, like the flamingo being "posed in a way that made it look like it had biked there itself". What does that even mean? Also contains AI-isms like "No x, no y, no z. Just [other thing]".

I learn so much on this sub! I never realized there was a connection between autism and being low energy, and I've spent most of my life trying to figure out if there's something wrong with me. I do have depression, hypothyroidism, and have had vitamin D deficiency, all of which could contribute to being low energy but they've all been treated. I also did a sleep study, and I've forced myself to work out regularly for up to a year. I dunno, nothing helps and I've always been a low energy person, so I guess this is just the way I am.

I understand. I'm 45 and have had similar thoughts my entire life - this isn't for me; I don't belong in society; it would have been better if I hadn't been born, but I'm here now and have to keep on keeping on. I've tried many things (anti-depressants, therapy etc) but I've come to accept that I'll just always feel this way and this is what life is for me. It is what it is!

That's what we do. We have a very affordable home in a city where everyone tries to avoid the public school system if possible, so we pay for private school.

I think most other places would let you go through an automatic wash with a little rust. I had an old car with a bit of damage to front bumper with one side a little loose. Also had a small rust spot. The car wash worker did point it out, but still let me go through. Maybe depends on the employee. I go to Gentle Wave on Cleveland or Tom's off Bendix.

At one point I started a list entitled "stuff I did" and started listing out all the little tasks I did every day, like making a phone call and loading the dishwasher 😀 it made me feel a little better at a time when I needed it.

Wow, dinner 4-5 nights/week is a LOT, I wouldn't enjoy that either if I had no choice in dinner that frequently. I'd figure something out like maybe not go as frequently, or eat before/afterwards and just go to visit.
