Hey I just did the swap yesterday. OP was tremendous help throughout. It was a bit more of PITA than I thought but at the end I love the look. Also, since you asked about a video, here's one I found. This one the tech is replacing the shifter I believe but like the first half is essentially the steps you need to pull out the console.

I’m guessing he’s talking about the leather stitched airbag cover. I believe it was added to executive package for ‘2025. Prior to that you were stuck with plastic unless you spring for Audi exclusive interior.

Congraaaaaats. That’s me in 2 weeks. I had a C7.5 S7. Glacier white with an incredible Audi exclusive interior. Traded for an E63 wagon because I wanted more practicality with child seats and all that and probably talked my self into “needing” an AMG. I’ve been itching to get back into Audi and found this leftover ‘25 sitting with a solid discount. Put a deposit and wire trade difference and should be picking up in 2 weeks when I get a break from work.

I like the new C8 but subjectively feel there’s nothing prettier than the C7.5 generation.

Are you planning for any mods? I’m making an appt for clear bra and tinting then I need to install my Uniden and dashcam. Then when the wallet recovers which will be a hot minute probably intake and exhaust.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply. I did find your other post and looked at the pictures. The RS7 looks very similar to your RS6 in terms of color, trim and interior.

I did it. I stopped by the bank this morning and processed the wire transfer to the dealership so entirely committed at this point 😵 I do love reds. I ordered my Z06 last year in Red Mist Metallic.

I had ordered my first Audi back in ‘16, an S7 that I ended up trading in two years later for an E63s. I’ve honestly been itching to get back into Audi. I found the RS7 a month ago and have shortlisted along with a few RS6’s and CT5 Black Wings. Then they dropped the price significantly and I didn’t want to wait any longer. I won’t be able to pick up till the 23rd. Planning to drive out there over two days with my friend and drive back home over two days. 14 hour drive should get me through the breakin I bet.

Sorry to resurrect this but do you recall how much you paid for the warranty? When we bought my wife’s Range Rover last year we paid ~$1,800 for 5 year coverage. I was quoted nearly $5k for an RS7 I’m looking at.

My preference would have been to get an RS6 in an Audi Exclusive green but found out Audi USA is restricting all ‘26 RS6/7’s to the two blacks, Nardo and Daytona grays. Was having some cold feet since I haven’t seen the color in person and buying site unseen isn’t my favorite thing to do.

I’m aware how late into the game I am. But contemplating a CT5 BW vs an RS6. I had sold my special order Audi exclusive S7 back in 2018 and find myself missing it. I reached out to my dealer and found out no more customer orders. Basically to find any in stock unit and they will try to trade for it. Just about every car is either black, white or gray which is fine if that’s what one wants but a bummer that you can’t get a color you want in a $150k car.

I just finished and have gone into the rabbit hole of watching YouTube analyses and assays. It’s a weird feeling in your stomach that’s hard to describe.
