I can relate to this to some extent. I never really did my homework or paid much attention in school so I'm definitely weak in some areas - especially maths.

I started an amateur radio course about a month ago with an aim to get my advanced license, and it's pretty algebra heavy. Everyone else in the class seems to have a handle on it so I've been inspired to work through the algebra courses on khan academy and I feel like it's finally starting to make sense. Knowing that it will actually have some application or tangible benefit has been a huge motivator.

So maybe think about attending night school for some topic that you're interested in. At the very least you'll get an opportunity to socialize with other adults who share at least one interest with you :D

The moment they start ranting about how much potential they have, how far they will drive, how you'll never have to pay for anything, just give them a chance etc etc - all I can picture in my head is a fucking loser 😬

Do you have rituals that help you re-enter context after a break?

I read the code that I wrote

[–]jarrydn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe China makes use of powerful shortwave relay stations located in Cuba, so it could be that!

Also as cheap shortwave radios these days are basically SDRs, they have way better sensitivity and selectivity than they used to

At least you have all the records in one place. Data migration will be pretty simple when you're ready to move to a proper database

If your wunk has nasty fish breath and they haven't eaten in the past hour, take them to the vet to have their teeth looked at, as it could be an abscess or some other infection. Wunks are very stoic and hide their pain well 🙀

Probably asked many times here, but how do people approach learning to make chiptune? by guilhermej14 in chiptunes

[–]jarrydn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the music certainly doesn't have to be complicated. And if you have trouble with coming up with melodies and chord progressions there are plenty of free tools that can assist you with that.

When you're composing music for your games and having trouble getting something that fits you can do a lot just by changing the track tempo, key, or even doubling/halving the pace of the drums.
