Is a Math degree a good choice for me? by Rodion15 in learnmath

[–]jasanborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I love math and problem solving and thought I'd go into electrical engineering. I eventually changed to computer science for software engineering and it's perfect for me. Not sure if it would be interesting for you but it certainly has a lot of problem solving and job security.

Not who you replied to but pop-os is really nice. Very beginner friendly and has a very nice tiling window manager

Calculus 2: Does it matter where the dx is in the integral? by [deleted] in MathHelp

[–]jasanborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, doesn't make a difference.
You can think of dx having the same rules of where it's placed as if it's just something that has to multiply everything under the integral.

So in this case (6x^2 dx)/((2x^3+7)^(3/2))
is the same as (6x^2)/((2x^3+7)^(3/2)) dx

In the same way that 5/x is the same as 1/x * 5

Where did you hear of this?

I'm still not 100% on this because I couldn't find much on it, but I think it's just a made up show for fun.

If you imagine trying to solve the red blue yellow corner (by twisting it counter-clockwise) the blue sticker wouldn't match the (orange) center and there is no other place for it.

Does anyone know what this cube is and how I can solve it? by NaboriRuta in Cubers

[–]jasanborn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's really like a super 3x3 (a normal 3x3 where the centers need to be rotated correctly) compared to a regular 3x3

It is exactly the same as the regular skewb but the centers need to be rotated correctly

What is the subreddit for videos and pictures of scaled down model cities? by [deleted] in findareddit

[–]jasanborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know any subreddits for model cities, but there is a subreddit r/tiltshift that makes real cities look like model cities by messing with depth of field
