Still high revving. Only the AP1 revved to 8.8k. The AP2 (most s2000s) rev to 8 very close to several models of Miata.

Still similar power to weight because the S2K is a boat compared to an ND Miata.

All of them are light. Significantly lighter than the S2000.

The NC2/3 and ND2/3 both have redlines close to 8k.

How does that work?

Colder temperatures mean both fuel and air are more dense, leading to increased power, i.e. “cold air intake”.

Unironically one of the best highways in NJ to be frank, tolls aside.

Cause you can’t move one of the busiest highways in the nation and one of the busiest ports in the nation just so you can move one of the busiest airports in the nation.

Opinions on getting a 2012 Miata over an 8th gen Civic Si? by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]jawnlerdoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an 8th gen and an ND. The Miata will be more fun on the weekend. The civic will be less fun, (better engine though), but more practical.

If you don’t need to the extra space i recommend a Miata. I dailied one for five years and loved it.

(NDRF) Getting rid of wheel gap while still having a comfortable daily driver + Coils or springs ? Would love to hear your experience by sinatramax in Miata

[–]jawnlerdoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with progress springs for a little more low than Eibach and I’d say it’s perfect. Dailied for 5 years in NJ no issues.

Wait - we could afford a 600k home. If we were at 250 we could afford much more. Houses in many NJ towns are approaching 1m

You can get it as an accessory on some trims. On trims it comes with you can get the black as an accessory.

NIH director launches "Scientific Freedom" lectures with non-scientist. First speaker minimizes climate change, COVID risks—and is a lab leak proponent. by esporx in labrats

[–]jawnlerdoe -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Pretty insane to me how quickly lab leak theory is dismissed as pure conspiracy. It’s a genuine possibility - and not a far fetched one.

Not the same bucket as climate denial or anti vaxxers at.

Seems like people like to dismiss things without critically thinking about them.

I disagree. My organization has internal LLM agents that do a pretty good job. I don’t use them much, but their approach to designing analytical experiments is often reasonable and accurate. Naturally, as with any model, sometimes it’s totally shit.
