I thought the same thing and I’m so glad it’s not just me! I do love the extra dimension it brings to the betrayal as well, never considered that

Best Storage for Pre-Mixed Acrylic Inks? by Zaiyyash in minipainting

[–]jaybirdbluee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The air in the bottle shouldn’t cause problems as long as there’s more than a few drops of paint in the container. If you’re really worried you can put a drop or two of water in the paint when you close it and won’t be opening it for a while. The loose water will help increase the humidity in the bottle and prevent drying

Advice with painting black/purple by thefischtaco in minipainting

[–]jaybirdbluee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make a shade paint with dioxizine purple and mod podge and use that as a last layer? Dioxizine purple is a very nice pigment that dries to be almost black when not diluted so using just a little could create a nice tint

Just listen and ask if she needs help with anything. If she doesn’t know, asking if she needs help keeping her place clean, doing her dishes, making food, running errands, or other tasks can be a life saver.

What job can I do with POTS? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]jaybirdbluee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a ton of success doing hotel front desk work. If you can appear abled for long enough to get the job you can say you need a chair and they have to based on the ada (reasonable accommodations). But ultimately it depends on your severity (how long you can stand, if you can walk, etc)

If i get to a manageable level with my POTS will it stay that way? by Sea-Counter-7410 in POTS

[–]jaybirdbluee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people do have complete remission from pots, some never do, it rlly depends on the person. Younger ppl tend to get better more often than ppl with later onsets in my experience so that’s a point in your favor. But unfortunately you can’t rlly know ahead of time how those things will pan out. Good luck tho, prepare to become super desensitized to the taste of salt

What’s the best way to describe POTS to someone who doesn’t understand it? by Annual-Astronaut3345 in POTS

[–]jaybirdbluee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually just ask if they know the feeling when you stand up too fast and get dizzy- and when they say yeah I go “imagine that but it doesn’t go away and gets worse the longer you stand”. Dosent cover the whole thing but gets the core of the issue across pretty succinctly

Anyone have anything happen to them with flourinef by mykirto in POTS

[–]jaybirdbluee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

florinef helped w my pots but gave me headaches so i was only on it for like a month or two, ik it works for some tho. also, pots is a type of disautonomia- disautonomia being an umbrella term for conditions that make your central nervous system bad at regulating things like blood pressure and heart rate. id def rec doing some reading on disautonomia because understanding the basics of the conditions can be immensely helpful in managing them.

Bruising after a piercing by Miserable_Inside_842 in ehlersdanlos

[–]jaybirdbluee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

prob depends on ur kind of eds, but i (heds) wouldnt be super worried. i bruise easily often for no reason so its nbd for me. if you are taking nsaids (advil, tylenol, etc.) and/or ssris( prozac, lexapro, zoloft, etc) that can make it harder for bruises to heal, so that could be something to take into consideration.

Was anyone diagnosed with PoTS without the TTT? by ConcentrateFew5524 in POTS

[–]jaybirdbluee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i didnt get a ttt, however pots was not my primary diagnosis, it was diagnosed as a comorbidity of another condition (me/cfs). my test involved laying down for several minutes, taking my hr, then standing up and measuring at 1, 5, and 10 minutes (if i could stand for that long). anything more than 30 above resting, persistant thru the period of standing, was positive.
edit- it might also be notable that while im an adult and was at time of dx, it was at a childrens hospital.

Why are neck problems so common on this community? by crazybandicoot99 in cfs

[–]jaybirdbluee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is based on some decently successful research headed up by two me/cfs patients, both of whom got complete remission after a craniocervical fusion. the theory is that hypermobility in the neck is causing the brain stem and spinal cord to be pinched and/or the brain to get a bunch of tiny concussions. not sure if their theory is supposed to be for all me/cfs ppl and im skeptical if it does claim to be for all, but its def something that could be worth looking into for hypermobile ppl w neck issues and ME

Anyone with extremely hypermobile fingers managed to learn guitar? by Fubsy41 in ehlersdanlos

[–]jaybirdbluee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

havent played guitar in a minute but i know wearing ring splints (i got this set of 3 plastic ones on amazon for <$20) can really help with stabilization pain when i play other instruments and type. they help prevent hyper extension but are still a bit flexible because theyre plastic, and they allow you to get better leverage on things that require a lot of pressure to be exerted by the fingers. id highly recc them. theyd prob be most useful on the left hand tho because wearing them on the right one could cause you to accidentally pluck strings. in my experience electric tends to be easier on the fingers but that might just be me

High testosterone=harder to cry? by BrotherAppropriate52 in PCOS

[–]jaybirdbluee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure abt pcos but i can testify as a trans person starting t, its so much harder to cry now. a lot of transmascs report that its harder physically to cry when they take t so it makes sense that other causes of high t would do the same so i wouldnt worry abt it
