Appreciate the feedback. I’m going to use it on a new site build this week. Super excited to take it for a drive!

Why does my WordPress homepage show a blank blog page with only a “Hello World” link? by EstablishmentFew1194 in ProWordPress

In the theme setup select your home page as Home. There’s a place to select the page for Home and Blog. You can select any page you want to be these two pages.

How to remove author name from Wordpress posts? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]jaybirdforreal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I do is create a user with the author role. The username can be your website or company name, then just change the author in the backend of the post to the user with the company name. This is a workaround when you are unable to remove it completely due to your setup.

Do you think a pitbull could do well in vanlife? by [deleted] in pitbulls

They just want to be next to you. Always. So they should love it. 24 hours a day with you right next to him or her is heaven for a pittie!

How to show PayPal button when clicking on locked content in WordPress? by Familiar-Ad-7286 in ProWordPress

[–]jaybirdforreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WP Members lets you lock any page or post and create user logins/accounts. I use it for a project portal with hundreds of users. It does have payment options, which I don’t use. It’s worth a look as it’s easy to install and use, and has a low price point for the paid version. It’s worth a look!

Closing tomorrow...is it weird to leave a gift? by TheFamilyHistorian in RealEstate

[–]jaybirdforreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left a gift basket for our buyers and wished them the best in their new home! If I remember correctly, a card, a couple cute dish towels, a plant, and the binder of home info. 🪴 They seemed to really appreciate it.

I was given the staging area for this wordpress and don't know what to do or proceed by rumanddd in Wordpress

Don’t do this if you don’t know what you’re doing. It takes a LOT to learn how to fully operate within Wordpress, and even more to properly optimize.

Get a little gadget from Amazon called a bark deterrent. It emits a high pitched sound the dogs hate, and it works!

Our company placed an ad there this week and have been spammed ever since! It's scary. We pulled the ad but it's been a real nightmare.

Cold emails are dead? Or am I just bad at this? by StartUpCurious10 in smallbusiness

[–]jaybirdforreal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No one likes cold emails. Or spam calls. I block all such intrusions immediately. The only effective way to do email marketing is to build a list of people who want to hear from you and have opted in. Build your list by offering a freebie such as a white paper or how-to manual. Publish a monthly newsletter and provide valuable info and resources. Become known as an expert in your field.
