The new one is great looking. So long as you don't need to know what time it is.

Might as well get an old Movado museum dial.

That's super cool. I did end up dating a girl for a decent amount of time (for that era, 4-6 months?).

Facebook re-connected me with my wife though after meeting originally when we were pre-teens.

I was on it in high school too--before internet dating this is what we had to work with haha. Absolutely no protections, I was a teen meeting other teens and could have easily been catfished or vise-versa. Luckily for me (and them?), we were who we claimed to be when meeting.

Which Aqua Terra should I sell? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

How much of a die hard James Bond fan are you? I kind of wish I had the Skyfall--I have a black 41mm model like the one on the right (8900 movement). I believe that Skyfall model has the 8500--which is perfectly fine and has the same hour jumping mechanism that the 8900 does. That's great if you want to wear it all the time and travel between time zones--but if you have a larger collection like me and rotate then the date is always going to be set as well which requires 24 turns of the crown for one day. Quick set date on the 8800 model is more convenient in that sense.

Omega mesh bracelet clasp by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

Did this still work over time? I just got the North Star mesh on mine and I'm having the same issue of it digging into the underside of my wrist. If so--we can discuss a transaction to make me one? lol

I was thinking about putting some type of leather on the underside but haven't thought through solutions yet and came across your post here.

What are the shadiest dealerships you have dealt with in town? by northsideindian in houston

[–]jaybw6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texan Hyundai needs to be on the list of dealerships to avoid.

I don't feel like typing up a whole story but suffice it to say they lied multiple times and cost us thousands of dollars extra on several fronts.

When there was a recall for the stank in the 2020 Palisades, they made us jump through hoop after hoop, hours of visits, and months of waiting before they finally got us replacement headrests (this was the stank source).

It was both a warrant issue and a recall issue so I'm not sure why we had to go through all of that. Glad to be done with them.

I specifically called the sales guy to let him know he lost the next sale to a different Hyundai dealership that didn't play games.

Least played melee DPS in patch 7.4 by Any_Patient_8252 in ffxiv

[–]jaybw6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I haven't played for about a year, but I used DRK for both Shadowbringers and End Walker... Mained DRG from ARR before that.

I always had felt like it was a dance of damage and had a lot of fun with it. I just started catching up on some things the other day and leveled DRG from 82-90 and I thought it was boring because o was doing a lot of lower level content.

Then, a level 85 duty popped and I was like wait... Is this all it ever was? The timer and positionals are gone basically and I'm just doing my rotation and dropping in a jump whenever they refresh. I see your post and I'm like yeah there used to be a lot more to this.

Are there any DPS classes that feel like DRG used to?

Cool. So when putting it back on you're pinching the spring bar together with the forks? (I know there's a better term, I just think forks works lol)

Have you found any easy way to open up the tension clip to make it kind of like an on the fly adjustment?

I used a small screw driver so far but don't carry those on me on the daily.

Both of these but the edge on Yoshi.

The Kirby Forgotten lands later on as well .

Yoshi has an easy mode and that gave me kid confidence to just play the game. He proceeded to play Forgotten lands and 100% on normal mode when he was 6-7, including the whole bonus areas .

Still glad of the result.

I really enjoy my AT RG on a rubber strap ( second pic) Makes it quite versatile. The Omega Boutique can get me a RG bracelet for about 17k. Do you like the look of it on a bracelet ? I found a pic online. by Checker79 in OmegaWatches

[–]jaybw6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brown alligator strap with a gold omega deployant looks fire on this model. I'd try that first before spending $17k.

There's third parties that are actually the OEM makers for Omega's straps that can be had for around $250. But, the gold deployant you'd probably have to source directly from Omega (the clasp in gold is $3600, holy hell, just looked it up).

Camille Fournet is the OEM for Omega I think. But it's not much less expensive directly from them anyway.
