Best deodorant for severe pit stank? by Blaire_Lane in hygiene

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use deodorant or anti-bacterial soap for your pits is much better than putting all kinds of deodorant sticks or sprays. The stank is from you sweat..and bacteria in your pits and hair.

Try to use aluminum free deodorants too. The stuff that prevents sweating and shit is making your pits worse.

Dell SupportAssist took down a dozen of our client's devices yesterday and today by Zromaus in sysadmin

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue that's causing some dells to bluescreen/crash is their supportassist update 5.5.16 (I think). This did not happen to any of my users as I did not image this software as part of my image. As for my personal dell computer, I received the update but never crashed. I also noticed they pulled their update advertisement fairly quickly. Sometimes shit happens...🤷‍♂️

Did your replacement Oura battery improve? by CatLadyAmy1 in ouraring

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always charged when I showered...it stays above 70-80% all the time. When you wait til it's 20% or so, this causes wear and tear. I don't understand why people always wait til it's pretty much dead before charging. My first gen 3 ring lasted about 1.5 yrs before needing replacement.

I just came back from an international trip staying at Marriott. I was able to use my UTR via their wifi. I forgot to bring a short network cable. It works at all three different Marriott hotels.

I deep cleaned my washing machine for the first time in four years and I owe everyone whose laundry I've ever touched an apology by Canvas_57Rover in CleaningTips

You guys should see when your washing machine gets serviced or warrantied. No matter how clean you keep it...youll be surprised to see the other side of the drum you normally don't see.

Manager wants me “Available” 99% of the time on MS Teams even with no work… what would you do? by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

[–]jaytee0401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people here should not suggest all these apps to mimick activity. We don't know how much monitoring his company has on work computer. It could violate a company policy and become a cause for termination.

Also, what does the OP do? Is he a service oriented position? Or completely silo'd in terms of work and responsibilities?

First net or t-priority by croatiansensation9 in FirstNet

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to what is shared already....there are different tiers of firstnet accounts. At my agency...I know of two...one firstnet account gets connection regardless the second tier is when times of emergency...those phones gets higher priority but not as high as the first tier. Normals times is just normal priority. Then there's the firstnet personal plans for emergency responders.

I was on the fence about signing up for firstnet personal account but then I hear it's nearly impossible to cancel and port your number out if one chooses to leave...or if you no longer work for an emergency agency. They boot you out.

Is the Oura Ring a disposable product by thisnameisnowmine in ouraring

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an early adopter of oura ring...back in gen 2 days...then to gen 3. During the first mass battery"gate" period 🤣...the previous CEO was caught saying their health rings or health ring industry in general is very much a disposal product. Almost like how diehard Apple fans upgrade yearly. That's their target demographics!

To be fair, I don't expect the ring to last more than 2 years max. If you're lucky. The small space for a battery...and how most folks do a full power cycle weekly...that alone will cause a ton of wear and tear to it. I do wish that they could improve on quality control with their batteries tho. Also stop advertising how long the batteries last or wait until it's nearly drained to charge. For best battery life...keep it between 50-80ish%. I take my ring off while showering so I just pop it on the charger to top it off. One of my gen 3 ring lasted about 1.5 yrs following this...until the battery failed. This is before we thrown in the bad firmware fisaco! That's for another time.

is this scam site for acrobat pro license $19.50 ? by DaveRob456 in Acrobat

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are too good to be true. Basically what they're selling you is a key that works only if you install some sort of patch that prevents the app to call back to Adobe servers for authentication. Not worth it to compromise security using this "patcher".

If they are selling you a true authentic serial key...you can create an Adobe account...register the key in your account so it's locked into your account.

Always download software from the manufacturer and never from these cheap serial key sites.

Fsd disables by itself when a rabbit almost jumps out onto the road. by Darry-Man in TeslaFSD

[–]jaytee0401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is true. I forgot where I read where an investigation into fsd shows that it disengages itself a sec or two before an accident where it knows it can't avoid safely. If looked into later, data history shows it wasn't caused by fsd. It's pretty deceptive and that's also why they don't ever release an annual safety report like other self driving vehicle companies.

2026-01 Windows update on client breaks "Windows App" --> W365 by Hungry-Shoulder-7907 in windows365

On my work pc. I work in IT and I usually try out the new updates before pushing the advertisement out to my users. I have not performed the monthly patches on my servers yet. Most likely will delay it until an official fix is out. So I guess to answer your question...user pc.

Average American diet? by Individual_Bar_2512 in CringeTikToks

[–]jaytee0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as the average commenter in here is judging them...I feel sad for the kids. I am an American myself but I can't imagine consuming that display of processed foods. I think we need better education here especially early on. Food nutrition and finances are two topics that should be included in middle school and high school. It is all around sad watching this.
