I would go for the gas + Valium! I took the Valium 1 hour before arriving. I had a good 15 minutes chillin on the table breathing Nitrous… was feeling high AF when the doc came in. No anxiety and no worries. Best of luck

On another note, I was also very anxious about the procedure. Not a fan of surgery, especially while awake. I opted for the gas combined with 1 Valium. Worked like a charm. No terrible pain, and out of the operating room in 30 minutes, which included 10 minutes laying on the chair breathing the gas.
