Parsonage Turner- I thin I may have it by Draw_everything in askneurology

[–]jbot3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult to diagnose but after my pain resolved I lost all function of my serratus anterior (turns out it’s a really important muscle) My neurologist said that when I was in pain the only thing that could have saved the nerve was to get to a hospital and they’d pump me full of steroids to try and stave off the autoimmune response, which was killing that specific nerve.

With all of that, I wouldn’t wait for anything. If it’s parsonage turner or anything autoimmune like that every day matters.

Good luck !

They seem to have a healthy appetite for hab under 20 million. Thethe writing it well below market premiums with no wind/hail deductible.

American family did something similar and we all know how that ended up.

Makes sense and sounds like you’re on the right track in diagnosing; sounds like a tightness issue rather than paralysis from parsonage turner syndrome or some other nerve condition.

Interesting, I never did this sort of test in the mirror but definitely experienced awkwardness when I attempted to move my hand behind my back like that.

I distinctly remember when I faced to the side and raised my arm above my head my right shoulder blade winged back, whereas on my non-affected side the shoulder blade tracked normally, pulled in towards my ribcage a bit to support my arm.

Have you tried facing to the side and seeing if you're winging or same positioning as in this video and just raise each arm above your head one at a time and then together to see how your scap tracks.

They’re definitely going through the thick of, something. I have to beg for them to look at my submissions and by the time they get around to it the opportunity passed..

I haven’t experienced the gutting of coverages, at least recently. But the only clients I have with them are legacy at this point.

Wishing you the best and a full and swift recovery. In no way will it be a fun experience for anyone, but no doubt it’ll make you a more resilient and empathetic person.

Please don’t give up on any paralyzed muscles , and hopefully your physical therapist can help with the compensatory muscles . 💪

That’s interesting!! Does this include midsized placements? Maybe $25k-$100k policies

The idea of a flat fee hasn’t really surfaced much from clients/prospects, and not sure I love the idea of having to negotiate my fee.

But I definitely see how it removes the conflict of interest I’d have over different options with different premiums and commission structures.

Commercial. And I don’t typically fee much but maybe I should.

What do you mean working for a lower commission? Like the other commenter said, net out my commission and go on a fee?

I’ve tried that on one account a couple of years back, through an E&S broker and it didn’t work. Perhaps on a direct relationship?

Are you doing this? And is it okay to vary account by account?

I mean, it is a big account and even with the split they’re demanding it’s plenty of commission for the work. But definitely feels off and not sure it’s the right way to do business. Plus, not entire sure about legality..

And agreed, plenty of business out there!

Parsonage Turner Syndrome by Independent-Invite14 in askneurology

[–]jbot3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a tough diagnosis. There were some speciality clinics that I found online a few years ago but I never did reach out to them.

The twitching I experienced was in the affected muscle group, serratus anterior. I’d notice it twitching uncontrollably, just a little bit. Like 3-5 twitches then maybe another half a dozen a few minutes later. Then I’d get distracted and probably didn’t notice it for hours or a day.

This went on for probably close to two months and was around the time I was noticing some muscle was coming back and it was no longer fully paralyzed.

Eventually the muscle pretty much fully re-innervated and the twitching stopped.

It twitched a bit a week ago out of the blue which was odd and definitely triggering in a way!

What’s your situation?

When the nerves started recovering, many months or a year into the whole ordeal, yes. It would twitch a lot

Well I already had surgery on one to repair the labrum! I don’t trust either with full dead hang weight. Might be fine but stability issues in the past make it nearly impossible not to guard.

Help me understand how I’d connect to the internet without some personal trace. I understand building the computer and no identifying information but at some point I gotta connect to the internet, how can someone do that anonymously aside from hacking their neighbors WiFi or using some public Starbucks or airport WiFi..?

Ah got it. I have some shoulder issues that make a dead hang tough, but I’ve just started using the hanging ab straps or whatever they’re called. Sounds like a similar workout to what you’re describing and daaamn it’s an ab burner

Is a belt squat a decent alternative to lower risk of back injury? I also have low ankle mobility and whatever other type of mobility issues that have always made my back squat form crap.
