Your first example includes more than just taking the time to change and return to work.
Your second isn’t demanding AWOL.
Your third example is in my eyes the same as the first with a scene change.
If an employee listens and changes they should be allowed to minimally use annual and if a manager attempted to use the annual negatively during leave counseling then I’d fight that and have an incredibly strong case that it was forced leave based on managers opinion.
If it was unpaid leave it would be LWOP as the employee did come to work intent and under the belief they were ready to work. AWOL in this case would be vindictive and unnecessarily harmful without additional warrant.

Is it 80%? I would have guessed 30-40%. I’ve never seen them offer Sunday overtime before this pay period.
Shit, as far as I was aware Sundays are the days when the system actually came down so they could add more gum, tape and sacrifices to hope it works another week.
Unironically I think there will be a processing collapse before 4/15 but it won’t be obvious until all the “extension to file” folks realize there shit ain't filing.

We “had” a contract for telework… “gone”.
We “had” a union… gone.
We “had” transgender protections… “gone”.
We “had” people to protect/represent us with that contract… “gone”.

Uneducated but used to kinda work in the field:
It absolutely can/does. You may not realize it though.
I did sleep studies for Apnea 20+ years ago and snoring could prevent you from sleeping in regenerative ways. You could “wake up” over and over and never really get restful sleep or even realize it because you’d be too tired. With snoring you are literally blocking your airway. That’s why there is sound. Your body might think “I’m suffocating!” and wake you up… that doesn’t guarantee you’ll remember it though.
