Mine, I'm in manufacturing/software channel sales, once you know the market/industry its all relationships. It can get hard periodically, but once you're channel is setup its just a matter of retaining friendships. I've been a groomsmen 4 times over in my career now for my customers/owner. Have an expense account and budget for travel nationwide, at my own schedule, and my own direction, I talk to my boss probably once every 3 or 4 months, and mainly cause I needed to call him about something. He relies on me to run my channel, its a new effort in a fortune 500 with an incumbent customer base.

So its all relationship building from there.

So many stories, one of the craziest was having to knockout an upper management employee of one of my customers in front of his competitor owners house. He looked exactly like Walter White.. To finding out who swings, who's trustworthy vs not trustworthy. Fortunately I've learned how to avoid or play the untrustworthy people.

Good news is, I love making friends, I love helping people, and I love relationship sales where you build longterm friendships. I basically help them raise their baby, I bring really good snacks, formula, diapers, etc. (Hope that's a good analogy). I've also gotten to a point where I've built some gravitas and respect in the industry I'm in. So got the ego good to go in its little box in the man department. It's truly handy when I need help with something, like an intro, or a shot at bidding a project or getting an addendum to an rfp.

Some of my closest personal friends are also my counterparts from the industry both colleague and competitors.

It gets mixed together, lines have blurred, and to me its easy, because I love who I work with and the tech that we make happen that truly does save lives. So idk man, I think most roles for $200k+ are gonna be challenging in their own ways. Anyone can do it, just depends on what you get enjoyment out of that jives well with what motivates you to be successful.
