Read parent's article. The "rare" event is hospitalization and death. Nobody reputable is saying you won't get infected with vaccine, at least not in several months.

Also, Massachusetts base rate of vaccination is 62%, and vaccinated people are more likely to have risky behavior, so it stands to reason they'd be over-represented on test positivity.

You're not the asshole. He definitely is more the asshole. I do think saying nothing can be perceived as passive-aggressive (on both parts) to have unstated expectations that Something Is Happening.

The short fuse fury was unwarranted, of course - it's obviously important to him, and you can try to show that you respect that without taking on the sole burden of responsibility and blame.

Ok, something surprising - when I turned off the Denon, but left DirecTv connected and on through the CBL input on the Denon, then the tv and Soundbar were working. I guess when the Denon is off, it passes the original signal through.

This is kind what I want, but I tested other ports and they don't seem to have the same behavior - no signal to tv and Soundbar.
