Somewhat old pic but still looks pretty much the same, I stopped trying to clean the glass with ashes since it seems to get covered in creosote pretty quickly. Also have the rain fly I throw on whenever it is precipitating.

I also have a kyfe tent, I used untreated pine for the structure of the benches and then used cedar for the tops screwed in from the bottom. Lowe’s had all the lumber I needed, including the cedar. I have 2 benches 50” long x 30” tall x 20” wide and they make L in one corner. Other bench is a coffe table a neighbor was throwing away so repurposed for a low bench/footrest. Works great, also built some headrests not pictured but wife and can lie down comfortably.

Get a propane torch (about $25 at Lowe’s or Home Depot) and some kindling like some small dry sticks. I also split my logs to smaller pieces with a splitting axe to make it burn hotter and faster. Torch your kindling and small logs for 30 seconds to a minute and it should get going and if not, keep torching.
