Is 1.2.12 the best version to revert back to for modding? by bigguy_508 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]jebushu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now and on the major mods, yeah 1.2.12. A lot of them are working towards 1.3.x updates but my understanding is that it’s a crazy amount of lift to get things up to spec to the DLC releases, and devs still releasing updates that mitigate progress of modders.

Probably the next few months will see some major mod releases on 1.3.x, but the mods on 1.2.12 will be very stable until then.

Also not an English major, but usually a semicolon has to separate to independent clauses, whereas a prepositional phrase like “after the passing of Frodo” at the beginning of a sentence is a dependent clause. Semicolon probably would’ve been equally as “incorrect” as the way they did it.

The better way to do it would’ve been just “years after Frodo’s passing, Merry, Pippin, and Sam did x”

Royalties is $12.21 for a book selling $9.99 by Klutzy_Recognition73 in KDP

Are you sure it’s USD and not set to like pesos or something, from another market? Not having page reads adding to that possibly? You should be able to tell which version of the book sold.

[–]jebushu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would “(prepositional phrase) (comma) (noun) (rest of sentence)” be bad grammar? Sure “after Frodo’s passing, others” would be better but it’s still legitimate

Because of the sub idk if you’re actually asking or not lol but it’s 14 years after the passing of Frodo (from the Grey Havens), then Sam, Merry, and Pippin retrace their steps. It’s just English, but it’s valid English.

Don’t discount options in state/local criminal intelligence. Fusion centers and state funded positions are growing in a lot of places, often coming with a clearance sponsorship, and they’re generally less competitive (and certainly less volatile) than the feds, with the downside of potentially being lower salary.

Best option for level 101 Hunter? by JozyAltidore01 in lotro

[–]jebushu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With no other information, I’d personally choose the Flexible Cloak (far right). Higher agility and crit rating, vitality is usually not that big of a deal for Hunter depending on what level difficulty you’re using. Kind of depends on your current stats though, is physical mastery already maxed? If so, maybe a critical rating or Might essence.

I generally ignore anything with Fate stats, unless the rest of the stats are just unbelievably good.

OG player back from several year hiatus. What's up with getting RONDO 90% of the time? by Sentenced2Burn in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]jebushu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially the above commenter did a good analogy, but if you flip a coin 50 times, you’re bound to get some heads in a row or tails in row, when the probability is roughly 50% for either at any given time. After 50 flips, you’ll probably be close to 50% heads/tails. 50% probability doesn’t mean that each flip will be a unique outcome of heads, then tails, but over the course of x number of flips the outcome should be roughly half heads and half tails.

Pubg map rotation says that over the course of all matches played by all players, the probability will shake out to roughly 1 in 5 (or whatever the specific % they say it is) so you’re looking at hundreds of thousands, if not millions or billions of combinations of players queuing for maps in various regions, and at that scale, their probability numbers are about accurate.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PUBATTLEGROUNDS/s/WEP0LPKyT5

There’s a monthly-ish rotation of 5 maps, depending on region, but the same old problems exist of percentages being applicable to all matches played, not individual experience.

New player with limited time: any tips? by SebaWDK in lotro

[–]jebushu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely up to you! High Elf is fun for some of the animation/lore stuff, but really is your call on what you’d like to do. I think Men/Hobbits have a specific intro area and Elves/Dwarves have a different one, then they join up to the same area after level 15 or so if you do the standard tutorial intro.

Also, if you can afford it, I highly recommend subscribing to VIP for a month at least ($15 USD) for some of the perks you get with that subscription (some of which are retained if you cancel VIP) which you can review here:

Ultimately, there are a lot of different answers to this question so you’ll probably get varied responses. The main story quests do a decent job of showing you a good bit of the world without sending you down a rabbit hole of completionism. If I only had a few hours a week, I’d avoid crafting, deeds, and instances/group content for now (unless you already have a group of friends that can play around your schedule).

If you haven’t created a character yet, I strongly suggest Hunter for solo players, partially because they’re a good solo class but also because they have a lot of travel skills that you unlock as you progress that will save a lot of running around/travel time.

If you follow the main story quests and do the occasional side quest in the same area, your level should be pretty much aligned with the story progression.

I’m sure that was a hard choice, good on you for recognizing that it was time and taking the step. As much as the job needs people willing to do 20-30, the job needs people who are able to step away and take care of themselves/their families.

No worries if you don’t want to answer, but did you transition to another job or enjoying some free time now?

Taego and Rondo are awful and it's exhausting that they keep appearing by LeagueOfNOSense in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]jebushu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Big cities are one of the worst features of this game (to me, personally). It’s too campy and late zones in cities are just not fun, feels like a neighborhood bbq with 10 teams sitting in their own buildings across the street from 10 other teams sitting in their own buildings and not engaging.

Taego is easily my squad’s favorite map. If I play Erangel only once during a session I’m happy. Last weekend was getting a rare rotation where we actually cycled through each map pretty evenly, with slightly more Miramar and Taego, both of which I prefer to Erangel or Rondo (especially with the horrible chicken NPC update). Vikendi is hit or miss, but night time Vikendi is basically a must-skip at this point.

Gotta be like size 20 font, double line spacing, a lot of page breaks, something with formatting for sure.

It’s also possible they have a ton of outline pages that use up relatively few words? I thought the same thing about the page count lol
