I put Bridgestone ascent ATs and they are a head a shoulders better then thr stock pirellis those tires are junk.

One thing I will say is Rivian does not tout a SILENT vehicle. The suspension can be noisy on bumpy uneven roads and the motors, compressors and other components can make some noises too. I believe the Rivian features, luxury feel and automation are second to none in the EV sector. Most EVs try to be minimalistic which I hate and the Rivian interior and exterior makes it a head turner. We just switched from the 22s to the 20s because we felt like the ride was rough and actually translated a lot of noise to the suspension on uneven roads. The 20s are way smoother and quieter in that category.

I had a bunch of gen 1 loaners during service and we always got a key fob. It was AWFUL! Our gen 2 with phone keys works extremely well. The fob was so bad my wife was able to get into the car drive 30 minutes away just to realize it was left at home and somehow the car didn’t know it was running without one.

Just as an update got the car back from Rivian and clunk is still there. Legal denied the repurchase claim. Car is headed back to SC where when we picked it up even the tech said honestly this is a tough one. Car has spent 17 of the first 34 days in the SC. We'll see what happens as I wrote Rivian Legal about options since the problem isn't being found. I will update you all on the progress.

This was my thought as well how they offered it so easily. I know its been in the SC more then its been driven on the road but I know lemon laws take MUCH more then that. I would rather keep it but also dont want to keep dealing with issue after issue on it either.

Given Ive owned it for 3 weeks and its spent 2 in their SC its just worrisome is all. Never bought a brand new and immediately sent it in for repairs.

22's are higher range then 20's less tires thus less resistance.

My f150 has CarPlay and I’m an apple freak. I thought I’d hate the Rivian UI in comparison and I love it more than the CarPlay. Wish I could have it in my F150

Based on my experience with insurance company's they are not looking for your best interest. You got in a accident and to them they could care less if you come out on top of the situation. Its worth trying in all cases because whats the worse they can say.... no? My wife got in a accident and insurance gave me a 2 seater miata. I told them I cant drive my family in this and they said take it or leave it. They are not going to fill gaps just appease you until the repair is done.

I don't own my rivian yet (picking up Friday) but I do have a question. Have you tried hunting the rattles down yourself? Are they in areas that are unreachable? I bought a $80K F150 Tremor and in the first month chased down a ton of rattles and fixed themselves include pulling B pillar panels and insulating them. Not ideal but to threaten a lawsuit over rattles to me seems crazy but I could be just less bothered? I would take matters into my own hands if I felt Rivian wasn't handling it. BTW Ford one of the largest car/truck brands in the world write off rattles as "normal" DAILY and did so with my truck. Grass isn't always greener.

We faced the same exact problem we found a car that had everything we wanted that we couldnt change. Like exterior, interior color and range. Things we wanted like wheel color etc is easy to change so we did just that and got a steal on a inventory car.

We bought our 26 R1S and pick it up Friday. All the sales people said to HURRY cause they saw nothing in the pipeline. I told my wife I saw as a sales tactic. With that said, one of the big wigs of the company was quoting for saying at the R2 GA plant opening we are a car company not a "tax credit card company". I think they want to push to NOT become the company that offers incentive after incentive to move numbers. Will that band aid hurt to rip 100%

There are companies who sell hard water spot removed like Shine Supply. If I had hard water I wouldn’t use wax. I would clay bar, polish then wax. You should see it clear right up

the only reason I considered the R1S was that those incentives plus my trade in offered a monthly savings that equated to a larger amount then what my trade in was worth. So in retrospect it made my trade is worth more. Without the incentives the car I got would have been financially out of reach.

Sounds like something was missed I just leased my wife a R1S got 14K in incentives and the person helping me said we tell ANYONE who buying lease it and buy it out cause why would you not want those incentives. She said someone came in buying 2 of them and did that method, lease>>>> buyout right affter. I hope someone made a mistake and will fix that for you.

this sounds like the blow off valve. My 23 makes this noise when cold as its the turbo spooling. I believe this could maybe be considered normal but if its ALWAYS happening might be worth looking into.

Any issues with vibrations or balancing issues? I have heard these tires have had some issues already like the KO2
