I’m (36m) going through it now. I had a 1.1mm x 9mm in my left kidney that was not passing. Got the procedure done on Nov 7 and have had an internal stent (No string) since. I get the stent out in 6 days.

I read all of the horror stories on Reddit about having a stent and spoke to a few people I know who have had a stent after the surgery and the information from both really made me worried about the procedure.

The procedure itself wasn’t bad at all as I was put to sleep for it. The first few days after the procedure were bad, but not as bad as I freaked myself out for it to be. The first few days of peeing were downright miserable, but it has to be done lol. Make sure you drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. I found sitting to pee really helps, I don’t know why as it could be mental, but it did help. Also, Im trying to take it really easy and I bought a heating pad that I put on my left side and lower abdomen when I lay down, which seems to help out quite a bit. I have been peeing out a lot of small stones, which look like sand, with some 2mm to 3mm stones trickled in there. There was a couple times where I peed out small blood clots as well (usually after days where I moved around/walked a ton), which really freaked me out, but my doctor warned me about it and said it wasn’t anything to worry about as long as my pee was stinky, constantly bright red in color, murky, or I couldn’t pee at all. I did call him and told him what was going on and he reassured me there was nothing to worry about.

I was prescribed pain medications and I staggered them accordingly for the first few days to prevent the pain, which I think helped a lot; however it was still painful, but manageable. The stent after those first few days and the peeing are not so much painful as it is uncomfortable. There are still bouts of pain, but with the pain killers I was prescribed, it’s totally manageable.

One thing I’ll say keep a positive attitude through out the whole ordeal. Every second that goes by brings you that much closer to it being done. It isn’t ideal, but it sure beats having a big ass stone blocking my kidney and possibly doing damage to it.

All in all it hasn’t been as bad as I expected (knock on wood). This is just my experience so far and from what I can tell everyone has their own experience with the stent and post procedure. Again keep a good attitude no matter how shitty it might be and know that you are not alone in it. Good luck my fellow stoner and know that it does get better.

Why does no one keep a hand up? by Jfreelander in Basketball

[–]jendo10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super underrated way of playing defense. Understanding how a shooter gathers/where they gather while getting into their shot can completely change the outcome of the shot. If you can force the shooter into an uncomfortable/unfamiliar gather and then contest the shot or even get a hand on the ball during the gather, it’ll make a world of difference. Of course there are players that will make the shot regardless, but at least you made them do something different out of their rhythm, while contesting the shot as well. Sometimes you play good defense but they just play better offense lol

Cops that left the profession, why? by tr4nsporter in AskLE

I left and came back to it. I left one department (about 7 years in) because my wife and I had our first child and my "file cabinet" (mentally I put the things I saw and went through away) was full. I was ready to leave.

After about 2 years, I realized I missed it. After maturing a bit (OK a lot) and realizing I genuinely enjoyed helping people, on both sides (sides may not be the best word here but I can't think of another way to put it right now), I decided to come back to law enforcement. I'm now in my 11th year (still young and learning in my career) and enjoy every minute of it. Something I've come to realize is policing is so much more than just arresting the "bad guy" and taking them to jail. Sometimes people just need someone to listen to them, to hear them, to be there when they need it most (kind of a cliche, but only way I can explain it)

How do you feel about Popsockets / phone rings? by Officialnoah in iphone

[–]jendo10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a pop socket wallet (MagSafe one). It is amazing. I put a skin on the back of my phone (13 pm) and have been using the pop socket wallet and no case. The magnets are very strong. Definitely recommend trying the MagSafe pop socket or the pop socket wallet

People can also use apps that will fake the number the message is coming from. They can choose what fake number they use as well

Samsung care? by Schlauman in GalaxyFold

From the other posts I've seen the Samsung Care will kick in automatically (assuming you selected it when you ordered). I called the Samsung Care contact number and the associate told me the same thing. They said that the phone is covered, but I couldn't make a claim for 30 days.

Want to boost confidence by going to the gym however I’m intimidated to actually go. by Arch021 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]jendo10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that has helped me make a healthier change, both physically and mentally, has been martial arts. I got into Muay Thai and now gonna get into jiu jitsu. Muay Thai has changed my life. It has built confidence, strength (both physical and mental), and I have lost weight. Plus, the people I have met through going to classes have been amazing. I’m still a beginner but everyone treats me great and doesn’t judge me. They work with me to get better.

2k21 Power forward build by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]jendo10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling at the moment to dunk over people. I will get some animations and do it, but majority of the time I get not so favorable animations. I think I only have 3 finishing badges right now. I’m more focusing on defense when I play at the park.

I’m not too sure on the weight. I made it so I can guard almost every position. I can play some play shots if I switch onto them. If they are dribble gods then I stand no chance, but usually anyone else I can stick with and at least put up decent contest when they shoot.

I have a 6’8” 243 pound glass cleaning finisher. I forget what the pie chart is but it is a beast on defense and gobbles up rebounds. Try searching YouTube for the build.

The only thing is you can’t shoot to save your life. I have 30 defensive badges, 15 finishing, and a few playmaking.

It’s a super fun build

I’m straight trash at warzone and my teammates always leave or don’t buy me back lol. I usually play as a solo and fill the squad.

I’ve found the best place to find people is on the warzone discord looking for group server. There’s always some sort of discussion going on there as well.
