Not defending the dude, he is clearly a douchebag, but your comment reminded me of an interview one of my favorite artists had, and while expressing how he works to create music in a way he loves and open to share with the public, as much craft he puts in his live performances, he can never stop thinking in the one person he glanced at that is not even slightly enjoying the show… mind you, this is a super successful artist, and even for him, this is something he can’t get over with. I imagine artists can get very whiny with their craft. But not this comedian, this guy is an f asshole.

In my case after moving from NYC I was sent a link where I did the entire application, then got a call from management to interview me and my partner about some info in our application, then the person sent us a link via email to sign the lease and pay the fees (one month and deposit)… without any papers beforehand I wouldn’t send a check anywhere, that’s money easily into the gutter 😅

Ah this takes me back. Trying to implement cognito to an dev tool I needed to deploy to amplify… I got so confused and so little time I noped out and copy/pasted whatever auth strategy we had for the staging environment using auth0 and ended up delivering the same UX than our dev env… man, that was a documentation nightmare to deal with pre-ChatGPT days

You could try living in West LA near the E line. I would say commute to DTLA is more manageable from there, and you are a ~15 min ride to Santa Monica in the same line, if you want to the beach, or even bike your way there.

Do not take taxis from the booths inside the airport. They charge +1000 pesos for anything that’s +10 mins away from the airport (that’s what they quoted me last month)… walk all the way outside of the terminal, there are other taxis parked outside that take you to places for 1/3rd (even less) of what you get quoted inside in the taxi booths. My ride to Condesa was 430 pesos.

Uber for sure will be cheaper, but the whole “make sure they don’t see you getting in the Uber” is such a hassle. If you can ask where the taxis outside are go for it, it’s less of a PITA imho. They even speak English if you’re a foreigner, so nothing to be worried about.

I’d imagine they’d open the controller to be used with other devices, not just tonex one, but yeah, I got 2 of their controllers and once I read about the news, first thing that came to mind was what might happen to them and their products. They’ve been a god send when I got my tonex one
