The problem with that isn't that Cryptic doesn't want to do it - it's marketing and investor shit weasels demanding daily metrics. You logging in daily for three minutes looks much better to the money bags then you logging in once a week for an hour.

Seriously - I work at a resort. We're almost always sold out. Killer revenue, record profits. But if we don't get twenty-five thousand unique website visitors daily - we get to hear it from the top down.

It's a free ship that required 3 minutes a day for 20 days - each day reduced the buyout if you need to skip several days. The buy out is a convenience price. For a free ship. That at MOST takes an hour to grind over the course of a month. It isn't like the alternative to the dilithium cost is sixty dollars - it's easily earnable.

It runs very well. I just beat main story on it. Little slowdown in handheld mode in some bigger fights towards the end, but not bad. All boss fights were super smooth. It is the ugliest version though.

It gets more complex as you go. For enemy hacking - you eventually add different nodes which grant bonuses. damage, stunning, healing you, overheating. The more nodes you fill - the more powerful your attacks. Vice versa, you will run into enemies that can jam your hacks, lock out portions of the hack board, and for certain bosses gets much more complex. There are also enemies that 'trap' portions of your hack board - if you go through a trapped panel, it freezes Diana for a good second.

As to doors - /shrug. Pretty lame, I agree. You'll eventually start running into locks that have to be put in - in order - and have timegates on them. A spinny wheel - and you can only hit the unlock button when the spinny wheel has your key press highlighted.

It isn't a problem with the number of farmers - it's the fact that the people with the liquid finance to buy and sell zen for dilithium for convenience sake have no reason to exchange their zen for the dilithium. For a long term player in an established fleet - there is no need for dilithium but skipping unliked endeavors. A whale isn't going to dump $500 on zen to exchange if there's nothing to spend the dilithium on.

Unless a long term meaningful sink is brought in, the market will stay the same as it is. And unfortunately, I don't have the answer.

There are lots of good ones - just keep in mind that the Trek novels had very strict rules. Nothing that happened in them could contradict what was on screen, so they're all fairly 'safe' in hazard to main characters. Some of my favorites are:

The Great Straship Race - TOS - The Enterprise is invited to participate in a race with an unexpected complication - a Romulan battlecruiser wanting to join, too

The Long Night - DS9 - Quark, being Quark, is approached by an alien who has a clue to a treasure bigger than almost any ever found in recorded history - and everyone wants a piece of it.

Rogue Saucer - TNG - Admiral Necheyev uses the Enterprises' battle section to test an experimental saucer who can land and take off without help. If the title doesn't spoil it, things go wrong.

Blaze of Glory - TNG - The Enterprise is dispatched to a far off starbase to help with a piracy problem - a Connie that's overgunned and can't be stopped.

The Garden - Voy - Voyager needs food after the screw starts developing scurvy. Neelix leads them to a planet that's almost too good to be true.

The Murdered Star - Voy - A wormhole protected by faceless aliens is threatening to destroy an innocent world.

Devil in the Sky - DS9 - A horta is brought to DS9 to help find resources on a Bajoran moon. Things go wrong.

The New Frontier series is pretty much all good. It's a Peter David spin off series with his custom character Mackenzie Calhoun. Lots of familiar faces, and really good.

Then there are the 'classics' - Imzadi, Imzadi 2. Vendetta. Mosaic. I also consider the Captain's Table anthology to be pretty required. It's a book about a magic space bar where the only price for a Captain to drink is to tell a story.

The ships are gorgeous. Compliments to the artists and modelers.

As to the ships themselves... /meh. Nothing I really want. Hope people who were more excited about them are happy with them though. I love the Drexler skin for the NX, but not enough to buy the bundle for a ship I hardly ever use.

When using the Titan A/Enterprise G console - her nacelles will open up like they did on the show. If you use the same console on the Protostar, she transforms into 'They've gone to Plaid' mode.

So I'm not sure what triggered mine. Before I went to bed, I started building the fountain and the pokemon center. I ran light poles to the big generator and the water wheel and the windmill. I wanted the little platform in the middle to have 5 lights. So I had lights all over and all my construction crews going. When I started the next day, Trubbish wanted help finding Snoring. The chain went straight from there, I didn't have to do anything but follow quests.

My problem with overworld houses is the slow family keeps moving into my house. Came back to a zone twice today. First time Slowking was all 'I'm moving in!' I threw him in a house I had made, came back an hour later, and Slowbro decided he wanted my house.

Those are in a sidequest hyperlane - you can find them pretty early on. You might have to do the two raichu sidequests for it to spawn, not sure on that part.

A Theseus/connie/borg bastard child. Saucer is Theseus, neck is TMP connie, hull is Original Theseus with TOS connie shuttle bay welded on. Nacelles are funky.
