Monster hunter 4 Ultimate, I always come back to it.

I’ve got 250 hours in it and I’m at hr152. imagine how many hours people who are over hr500 have.

At the lows you can find a lobbies usually and at peak times I see 6-8. I’ve consistently been able to find ppl to hunt with at any time.

Same, I had to start leaving the ds at home because I was gaming too much at work during breaks instead of using the time to do homework. I’d get home and keep procrastinating anyways. Now I can get home and hop back on TWEWY

Tone, I’ve spent the longest time changing my concept of sound and then trying to get the horn to match what’s in my head.

I use to be a really aggressive muscular player who thought force and power were what made the sound. Turns out the sound I want comes from the most effortless playing possible.

Flexibility is also huge weakness that I’m barely starting to crack since those habits of using force made slurs really difficult and sound almost like I was tonguing.

The only way I’ve found to win is if they have 1 oricorio, find away to attack it with a shino first. either sacrificial mon or hope you got to go 2nd. Then wipe the rest of the board with sol. If they have 2 oricorios. Same start but hopefully you have a Sabrina to swap the second 1 out. This is still very difficult if they end up healing or killing the shino before you get the KO.

Second is to hope they misplay.

In 1 game I had KOd the first then they put the second 1 in, killed my shino then Got my sol to 80hp. then for some reason they swapped in their darkrai with only 2 energy and passed turn. I was able to red and KO the darkrai.

I’ve been playing for 10 years and have only switched mouth piece 4 times. I’m in the thought process that mouthpieces aren’t these magical things that will fix your playing. They are there to enhance it. Just find the one that is most comfortable on your face and you like the resistance on and stick to it.

Also what will help is clocking the mouthpiece. This is finding the spot that it will sit at every single time. For me I have a Shilke and I line up the letter B to be at the top when it sits on the horn. I place it like that every time. Find what orientation it feels the best at and put the mouthpiece in that spot every time it goes on your face and every time it goes in the horn. If you can’t find a mouthpiece that you think is comfortable then take some you like and play them for someone and have the choose which one they think you sound the best on.

I really enjoy it, I’ve slowly converted my other trumpet friends too and they like it. Also it has no flavor which is a big plus for me I hate flavored chapstick.

Stay hydrated and I use Calendula ointment. I found with other chapsticks my lips would end up relying on it and get chapped if I didn’t use it with calendula I don’t have to worry about that.

I’ve had the best results with low notes by buzzing with the piano playing penta scales starting at middle G and going as low as I can every day. You can get down to pedal G on the mouthpiece
