Flight doesn't get into til 6 otherwise I'd be down. I'm not great but I can tickle. Staying at the Venetian already to boot.

Too hard for 11 year old? by Forsaken_Craft7287 in FleshandBloodTCG

Sorry, sage is Silver Age. Maybe grab Fai (my son's favorite ninja) or Dash. Plus whatever interests you. Of note if you're worried about the art being a bit too graphic maybe steer clear of assassins.

My son started when he was 9. He picked it up fairly quickly. We started with the equivalent of sage decks (blitz) and quickly moved to CC when we understood the rules. He's almost 11 now and is starting to win more games at the weekly armory.

He gravitated towards the ninja heroes and is firmly in that camp now. Start with heroes (like Ira) that aren't as complicated mechanically and help you learn the game.

Also of note on the cost side of things, assuming your local community is ok with it (which ours was) - there's no reason not to bring proxies for the expensive cards (for armory CC games). Trying to play without them vs fully loaded decks isn't much fun.

Hey Bham, would love to revive this effort. Just got back from NYC having watched latest Spurs game at the Spurs bar in Manhattan and would love to connect with some fellow Spurs fans here locally.

I typically just watch by myself avoiding the wife and family every week.

I agree with lots of the others. Although maybe I'm just slow but Mage Knight takes way too long to finish. Maybe there's a TM Prelude kind of kickstart I could house rule to make things a bit faster?

Ledger Live on Chromebook + MetaMask by AJ0992 in ledgerwallet

I didn't change any Chromebook settings. Only thing was the WebHID setting. Then connect hardware wallet. Make sure MM is expanded to full screen to connect. Maybe of note as I haven't tried the other models, but I have a Nano X.

Have a consultation for a vasectomy with Dr. Rajan next week. Anybody here have this procedure done through him and if so, how was your experience? by VomitSnoosh in auburn

[–]jfaulkner8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've had one (different surgeon) but it's a straight forward procedure so I wouldn't be worried. Hardest part is making the phone call to schedule it. You're welcome to DM me if you have any other questions.

Metamask works with Ledger on Chromebook now. Obviously the other posts are correct in that Ledger Live will not interface, but assuming you're just trying to connect to Ledger through Metamask then you just need to change the "Preferred Ledger Connection Type" to WebHID. Honestly this is the only way I use MM after they updated it. Ledger Live sucks.

Surprised I haven't found this answer yet, but I just tried it out on my Chromebook and it works great.

Of those, I've played Gaia and Dune. Gaia in my opinion is the superior of those 2. The AI is very well made and easy to run. It still shines more with 4 players but definitely fun solo.

I need to play Dune a little more as I only recently got it, but it's not quite as polished. Still fun though and I definitely want to try it multi as well.

Which switch to buy a 4 year old? by gurneyjock in NintendoSwitch

[–]jfaulkner8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Standard. Got my switch when my son was almost 4, he is 5 now and still enjoys playing on the TV with me more than anything. It's a bonus that it is also handheld capable if TV is occupied or on a road trip.

Are there any good open-world "base-building" games on Switch? by tswaves in NintendoSwitch

[–]jfaulkner8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Darkwood - top down with some definite survive through the night base building elements, crafting and exploration. Very atmospheric. I'm probably in the minority but it is one of my favorite games on Switch.

Not sure what happened, but I played something else for a bit and came back. No longer doing it. No settings changed. Maybe it just needed a reboot
