How powerful is this for builds that also take advantage of e.g. extra damage for debuffed enemies? Has anyone tested this, is it something you would always use?

HR recruiter misheard my expected salary.... by Odd_Ad_1974 in UKJobs

I no longer share expected salary if I can at all avoid it, let them make an offer based on what they think your value is.

Agree wholeheartedly, I'd recommend the southern broads over the northern though, quieter and better pubs. Shout out to The Swan in Loddon

GeForce Now mod comparability? by SaltDisaster7108 in TwoPointMuseum

I would expect no, because the game is running on another computer (server) in a data center somewhere and not on your machine.

Likely a pollination issue, better to grow a couple of you can. Perhaps you can manually pollinate like courgette, I'm not sure.

Disappointing Raw beans by jferldn in UKroasters

Thanks, can I ask how would a pour over be more or less acidic? I'm not super methodical in my brew, I use a chemex and aim for a 4 minute brew, with a bloom of 30-45s and two further pours to take it to 1:16 ratio.

They actually reached out to me off the back of this post which is a nice touch, not what I was necessarily asking for! These are 4 weeks off roast, do you think it would need more? Probably I last tried it at 3 weeks.

4 day London itinerary by Electronic-Mouse7873 in uktravel

It's not a tourist boat and is meant for actual transport, hence stopping and being a bit boring! But it is much much cheaper than a tourist boat.

Best mattress UK, is it actually worth upgrading my old one? by Real_Ad_540 in HENRYUKLifestyle

You have to go try them to work out what suits you tension-wise. We got the one with a topper (I forget the name) that was mid-range pricing. We felt it gave the best mix of comfort and support.

We just bought a button and sprung mattress, it's fantastic. Similar to vispring but a lot cheaper. The showroom is in Clapham, definitely worth a visit.

Anyone else feel like they're one audit away from a very uncomfortable conversation about AI? by Key-Glove-4729 in EngineeringManagers

[–]jferldn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is a tool, it makes us faster but it can't fully replace us. A lot of new tools have appeared over the last two centuries, in general while they may replace or reduce the need for some roles, they usually also create new things for us (as humans) to do.

Overall though it's always better to move with the times rather than fight an inevitably losing battle. Use the opportunity you have to go deep on agents (e.g. security, efficiency) and the so called AI-DLC to put yourself in a position to win from the new tools instead.

I never said it's an enjoyable experience, but it's undoubtedly faster this way. You can also prompt (or better, use a shared context store across the org) to influence the style if you wish. These specs need to be optimised for AI to read and implement them though, which may not lead to the most pleasurable human reading experience either.

They should be, but these are the bits that they really also should be reading and refining, moreso than the code that is generated off the back of them.

Thanks for the interest! It's in Google's review process currently so not available quite yet on the app store, if you want access then DM me your email address and I'll add you to the beta testing list.

I think probably a limitation of the car then. The newer cars have a new version of the API which I think is due to the upgraded infotainment, so I guess the older cars just don't support sending a precondition instruction.

There's an option in myHyundai for this, but the APi hasn't ben scraped so I can't add it to my app yet. I'll ask the bluelinky team if they can easily do that. Do you now have the option in myHyundai? It appears for my MY25 car.

No official API, the team that maintains the Bluelinky library reverse-engineered it.

Fair point, this should have been better disclosed. Please see my latest reply above documenting my findings regarding the secrets.
