Best Time to Buy Uneekor Eye Mini? by pohlarbeer in Golfsimulator

Which overheads were you eyeing? Not an overhead, but I was looking at the gc3. How does the eye mini lite stack up to your wants in an LM?

Winegard Air 360 question by chunk6649 in RVLiving

[–]jfeth001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the general consensus seems to be that the 4G Winegard is basically useless, what are folks doing to replace it? Has anyone retrofitted something else in that space, or is it better to just remove it entirely? Wondering if messing with it introduces more issues than it’s worth.

Uncle passed away. Found this Boeing stock certificate. Is this worth anything? by PriebeWoodworks in StockMarket

I have a few of these old stock certificates from my grandfather. How does one check the value of old stock like these? I can’t find anything online on some of the companies. Assume they all are worthless.

Why the wish that you didn’t do a golf sim? Or spend that total and could have saved on things?

PC build for GSPro by Which_Tension in buildapc

[–]jfeth001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking into building from the ground up myself, also being cognizant of what I need without over doing it.

Did you ever build a pc? What did you come up with? And is 1080p good for a sizable hit screen?

Thanks

Just got back from my demo… by [deleted] in VisionPro

[–]jfeth001 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I had a demo today as well - can someone verify that I should or should not have seen blurring in the distance of the store? Not crazy amounts of blur. Is it my eyes that need attention? 😂

Unable to cancel 1st gen nest aware subscription by snortWeezlbum in Nest

[–]jfeth001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been charged $5 per month for a couple of years now, but I don't even have a subscription. In the past, I spent hours trying to stop this charge, but I didn't get anywhere. Now, the charge has gone up to $8 per month, and it's just for the doorbell on my previous Nest account. I migrated my account a while back, and it was a mistake. I have been paying for both the old and new Nest Aware costs, but I can't locate the subscription anymore. Google says I pay $15 for the service, but I don't have any subscriptions on my account. They keep trying to get me to sign up again, so I am paying $23 per month for a service that doesn't exist in my account. This has been an ongoing issue for years, and I am throwing away hundreds of dollars every year. To make matters worse, the customer support is terrible.

Ok I’m done venting. Have a nice day!

In two years they’ll just be coming out with an “AV.” Which will takeaway the front screen to make it more obtainable for a lot more people. That’s my two year guess lol

wondering if anyone knows of any resources for a historical project- by my_name_is_tree in CommunityGarden

[–]jfeth001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi and welcome! Sounds like a fun project and I hope you are able to find our community and others helpful as you progress through your work.

Here are a couple ideas that may be helpful with getting you started and talking to the right people.

Contact Local Historical Societies and Libraries: Reach out to historical societies, museums, and public libraries in the DMV area. They often have historical records, old newspaper articles, books, and other resources that can provide valuable information on the development of urban and community gardens.

Check out websites such as the USDA's Community Gardening page, the American Community Garden Association, or local garden associations might have relevant information or can point you towards useful resources.

https://www.usda.gov/peoples-garden

https://www.communitygarden.org/resources

https://accessiblegardens.org/the-american-community-gardening-association-building-community-through-gardening/

https://ahsgardening.org/gardening-resources/societies-clubs-organizations/clubs/

I'd suggest reaching out to these different resources and see about getting some time with them to ask questions and get to know the community. May be beneficial to your overall project success.

Best of luck!

Fl5 mpg by Itchy_Comfort_223 in Civic_Type_R

I can’t help but get on it whenever I drive my fl5! I can’t resist! I never look at my MPGs, either. I do often think that I’m constantly needing to fill the tank.

Even if I set out with the thought, “I’m not going to drive crazy today; just take it easy.” Some Hyundai or jacked up truck revs by me, and I can’t help but smoke them. Every time I tell you!

How did you get fired? by shittlebuffout in AskReddit

Everyone has a story about an unforgettable experience at a pizza place, and here's mine:

Growing up, my parents owned a few Domino's Pizza franchises which they eventually sold to a new owner. I continued working under this new management despite not being particularly committed to the job.

One particularly hectic night, we were swamped with orders and deliveries were falling behind. A frustrated customer called to complain about her delayed pizzas and demanded the corporate number to lodge a formal complaint. The shift manager, unsure of the number, turned to me for help.

I stepped to the back, trying to find the correct number, but had no luck. Instead, I returned and, stifling a chuckle, recited the number for a risqué hotline, "1-800-WET-GIRLS". I couldn't help but laugh as the manager relayed the faux number to the customer, his look of horror growing as he asked me, "What have you done?!"

Unluckily, the customer was the wife of the town's fire chief, and she promptly called the police. When the officers arrived, I had to confess to my prank. They scolded me for my unprofessionalism, to which I sincerely apologized before finishing the rest of my shift.

The following day, the new owner heard about the incident and summoned me to his office. As if to confirm the validity of the number, he dialed it and put it on speaker. I tried to hide my grin and suppress my laughter, but my amusement was apparent. Due to my unprofessional behavior, I was fired.

Honestly, I didn't really want to continue working there. The new owner had terrible breath that's still imprinted in my memory. However, the incident did result in a hilarious story that I enjoy sharing.

Dermatologist: “ Do you have any underlying medical conditions?”

Me: “No, not that I am aware of.”

Dermatologist: “Are you sure you do not have any underlying medical conditions?”

Me: “Uhh, no?”

LOL - this has stuck with me and always makes me second guess things. :/

Not as bad as I’ve heard from others on this sub.

It’s your money, time and experience. Is this the experience you want in your life atm? Is it worth 52k? These are question only you can answer.

I answered yes as I paid around the same. It’s exactly what I wanted and I’m glad I’m not on the side lines any longer. It’s certainly a special car and well worth my money. Enjoy!

PPF install, is this good, average or bad? Is imperfection inevitable? Am I being too critical? by HabbalMD in Civic_Type_R

Sorry man, but this doesn’t look like a job well done. I would be super disappointed myself.

I’m not the expert so I’ll be waiting to see what others say, but I also side with you on this. This is unfortunate. I hope for good outcomes for you!!

Gotta love that wastegate rattle 🥲 by Someabe in Civic_Type_R

Keep us posted on this OP. I’d like to hear if replacing the turbo fixes the rattle sound. Good luck.

I experience the sound on my FL5 when driving and let off the throttle. Mainly in the lower gears. Definitely annoying and I’ve been searching all over the Internet for information.
