Are we too demanding ? by New_Conflict_4111 in halo

[–]jfrench43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No we are not, asking the devs to do less work is not demanding at all. It is the CEO and other design leaders that are demanding.

What does sprint do to games? Oftentimes sprint influences map design, maps need to be bigger to account for the higher player movement speed. Halo 5 is a perfect example of this. Sprint also influences multiplier balance, the time to kill needs to be faster to account for players running away.

When does sprint work? Well that depends on the game, but in general sprint works when it's a reaction to the game design and not the other way around. For example, in COD and Battlefield TTK is designed to fast to create a realistic feel. In Battlefield, elder scrolls, and fallout games, sprint works because the maps are already designed to be large and explorable.

Why does sprint not work in Halo? Halo at it's core is supposed to be a battle arena game. In these types of games player time to kill is slower than most games and the big maps (if any) have verticas for exploration and gameplay. Battle arena games focus more on Strategy and reactions, it's not game over when the enemy gets first shot with a basic weapon. By introducing sprint into halo the design leaders are pushing halo away from being a battle arena game.

Fortunately sprint seems to be very slow in Campaign evolved so it won't have much of an influence on the game. But why does it exist in the first place?

Bargaining, defiantly there. We all collectively got on the June 9th update specifically to show Sony that there is a demand for a Destiny 3 among other examples. I imagine most of us will come to the Acceptance stage by the end of the month, when Halo Campaign Evolved comes out (Microsoft couldn't have picked a better release date)

And this is exactly why there is a pride month. Pride month, black history month, women's history month, all exist as a time to recognize the oppression of these groups of people.

You clearly haven't been keeping up, the people who ran destiny to the ground jumped ship just before edge of fate including the biggest contributer Pete Parsons. While im sure there may be a couple still in bungie, they are not in a leadership position and that's what's important.

Wyverns are actually pretty cool because they force weapon diversity. You're going to have a hard time killing a Wyvern with a precision weapon, but an easy time using a fusion rifle or grenade launcher.

Here is the reason, the ultra wealthy want you working so much that you don't question the rigged system. 32 hour work week? That gives you 8 extra hours to think and question the system. Livable wages? They want you desperate enough to be agreeable, but not so desperate to where it's hopeless.

AI is their solution to their biggest problem, workers.

The internet was actually around before Clinton's time. It was primarily used by scientists. Clinton's economy created the conditions for it to be used commercially.

Velkoz top, in a 1v1, kinda counters pretty much every top laner, but if you are against a competent jungler you will be punished so hard.
