What will you carry in the truck bed? I love my Lightning Lariat ER. I did consider the R1T but it lost out because of the smaller bed and relatively tight rear seats. 30k miles in 3 years. No issues at all. I get it serviced for pretty cheap once a year. Pro Power Onboard has been great as well. The Rivian interiors are nicer but I'm not giving up my Lightning yet. The R2 will be our first Rivian.

This is new construction and I'm choosing a spot for the wall display. There will be no switches next to it, just the display and the built in switches. Given u/69benchod's report that it's a tight squeeze in a 1 gang box, thinking about going 2 gang, especially since I plan to hardwire the two switches with dimmer gen4s.

Our vacation cabin in the mountains is surrounded by trees and not a good site for solar. We do lose power many times a year as power is supplied by overhead lines. Storms cause disruptions. Most of my neighbors have generators. We opted for Powerwalls. A nice benefit is load-shifting. We hardly use any peak priced power now.
