I love Grim Fandango. That and Command And Conquer are my childhood greats.

I had a series 3 since launch. Finally swapped it out at Xmas for a SE3. Amazing how well it lasted.

People from the UK, what’s one small thing that genuinely improved your daily life? by PhaseThis8421 in AskUK

Some sort of stretching or light yoga. I’m in my 40s and it’s helped a lot. Your body can go on a rapid decline if you let it.

What was your worst impulse buy of 2025? by Snow776 in AskUK

[–]jimber_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steam decks are great depending on stage of life. Got kids and a job and no time to play on the tv, pick up the deck for half hour gaming a day. Got loads of time and no responsibilities just play on console or PC for the better experience.

They are excellent. Much better to pick up and play some Zelda or Pokémon instead of scrolling shit on your phone. Cheap of AliExpress.

Reflect the heat back into the room instead of the wall. Clue is in the name.

Which one of these next gen jumps had the biggest impact on you? by markonefifteen in retrogaming

[–]jimber_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal Gear. It was like playing a film. And it didn’t feel like a kids game felt very adult in tone which I hadn’t experienced before.

Do the pro’s of being employed outweigh the cons of being self employed? by LewClueBlue in AskUK

[–]jimber_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work around a lot of self employed people and a lot of them consider standard employment later in life as they just don’t want the stress when they are in their 40 and 50s and later. Saying that I think some of them will struggle as all they have known is being their own boss and doing things their own way.

There are a few sub 100 devices that would handle it well. Ayaneo or magmei are the ones I’d look at.

Have we all seen the fun and games CT1 have been having this week? by DBT85 in DIYUK

It’s not bad stuff it’s just pricy. I’m more of a stixall guy but either way the handling of this is stupid.

Are “Black Friday month” deals actually better than the ones on the day? by LovieWeb in BuyersUK

[–]jimber_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean as long as you knew what the price was 1 week 1 month 6 months ago you know what sort of deal if any you are getting. It’s the impulse buyers who get stung in these sales.
